He's so elegant in black
His outfit at rehearsals, offstage or on guest appearances is always more appealing to me than when he's on GNR stage.
It fits him and his age much more.

Hold your horses people. I understand you guys paid a fortune for the next GNR gig you're attending. You don't wanna be disappointed for the amount you paid. I get that. But take a deep breath and watch that again in a few hours for a better judgement.
Keep in mind this is his maximum effort. This is as good as this voice can be and obviously he's trying his best for this one single song as a favor to her friend in front of her audience. The result is a Mickey at its best.

14 minutes ago, Karice said:LMAO! 🤣 In my defense, I only knew of Axl being the only one who wore a bandana , and I didn't know Duff wore bandanas too, so I automatically thought,"The Appetite For Destruction Album skull with the red bandana is Axl." Another Fan said something like,"Duff's blonde hair on the Appetite For Destruction Album didn't tip you off that this wasn't Axl? Axl has red hair, not blonde." I responded something like,"I've seen pictures where Axl's hair looks blondish, so I assumed the blonde skull wearing the red bandana was Duff." IIRC, the first Guns N'Roses Fan said something like,"Remember, Karice is a newer Fan who didn't know Duff also wore bandanas. I would have been confused too in her shoes."
Yes Axl was not the only one wearing a bandana in early days. Duff wore bandanas too. Izzy was wearing bandanas too. Later on Matt was wearing bandanas too. So Axl was not the only one wearing a bandana as Duff and Izzy and Matt were wearing bandanas too. So there were at least four members wearing bandanas. Axl Rose, Izzy Stradlin, Duff McKagan and Matt Sorum were wearing bandanas. So Bandanas were worn by four members. These four members are Axl Rose, Izzy Stradling, Duff McKagan and Matt Sorum. You never know, there might be more members in the future who would wear bandanas. We cannot predict the future who is wearing bandanas. But we can confidently say that up until now there have been four members wearing bandanas. Axl Rose, Izzy Stradlin and Duff McKagan and Matt Sorum were wearing bandanas. Blue bandanas, red bandanas, velvet bandanas... All were tried by Axl Rose, Izzy Stradlin and Duff McKagan and Matt Sorum. So to conclude, four members so far have been wearing bandanas at different occasions. Axl Rose, Izzy Stradling, Duff Mckagan and Matt Sorum.

With one song that he does every night on tour, I don't think there's any risk outside of a freak accident
True, provided that he sings it with the same half-assed level of effort he does at GNR shows.

Hope Axl won't fuck up his voice further for this.

Axl: Yeah, you're right. Let's make some music and show the world what we can do.
Slash: Sounds like a plan to me. Let's do it.

"We're the rebels of the night, the voices of the lost We'll keep on marching, at any cost With a fire in our hearts"
Sounds more like Amon Amarth or some other viking death metal band than GNR lol

This changes throughout the years, but right now, it would be Rocket Queen, One in a Million, Coma, Estranged, Ain't It Fun and then for Chinese Democracy, it would be Catcher in the Rye.
Could you explain the reason why Estranged is in that list?

ouch, that hurt my feelings
i can do you one better: while you think the CD-era is the best thing ever, i got to witness the real GNR during the illusion tour.
Dude, I was at the troubadour having a beer with Ole Beich after Tracii and Axl killed it on stage.

i was going to their live shows, how about you?
Also i haven't seen anyone on this forum yet saying you can't say anything negative about axl. Where's that coming from?
1. You really remind me of my neighbour's dog. Barking everytimes someone's passing by his house. You don't really have to respond to each and every comment by people unless you're paid by the forum to do so.
2. Under 16s were not allowed in GNR concerts in 2006 and 2009 unless accompanied by parents. So I'm surprised you could go to GNR concert by yourself back in time.

This is just a general comment. Not pointed at any specific person.
It's very interesting to see some new people who have joined this forum after 2016, to argue over stupid stuff and claim they're the most loyal fans to Axl and they say people shouldn't comment or say negative stuff about Axl.
Where were you in NewGnr era to show your loyalty to your beloved Axl? as far as I remember these people were not even approaching online forums.

I mean, what else are they going to do. Give two fucks what some randomers on the internet think, or just play and move on?
They were asked by the organisers to fill in a slot, they filled it in. They're globally renowned entertainers and musicians who have been doing this for close to forty years now. They're going to play, it's going to be successful, and they'll move on and no one will remember this concert in six months time.
On the the reasons for the very strong media commentary (this will be a disaster, this will be yawn inducing etc.) is that cultural sectors of the media have been starved of resources in the UK for a long time. It's cheap and efficient to use clickbait reaction articles to try to drum up attention for the journalists. Not draw attention to music- the journalists.
Could be a proper material for good ol' UYI Axl rant before Double Talkin' Jive.

Thanks for the compliment. 😁 I got advice to think new threads through before starting new ones and not just start new threads for basically every thought I had about Guns N'Roses. 😏😉 Thank you guys for taking this thread seriously and not ragging and dragging it like another Website did to a good thread I had just because I started it. A Poster was like,"Karice started a good thread, and I was JUST about to respond positively to it but saw that Karice started it, and I ragged and dragged it instead. Other Posters were like,"I also thought Karice's thread was good but ragged and dragged it because she started it. I've gotta admit, it's a bit messed up that we ragged and dragged a good thread just because Karice started it." Other Posters were like,""Yep, I agree it's messed up that we ragged and dragged Karice's good thread just because she started it."
Too many "ragged and dragged" and pointless smileys there as always.
But I also admit this is just a good thread and if you make stuff like this then I respect it as well. Good job. -

Pedantic. Well said. Also having too much time could be a factor.

I noticed that. I guess he came to realization of his limited vocal capabilities finally. It was a well controlled performance. As for the sound, Mickey is definitely not gonna go away but as long as he can stay in tune and add those few flashes of rasp here and there as a "cherry on top", he's gonna be safe and sound.
