That's what Slash and Richard have both said. If they were just going to rework more old songs then I'm sure they would stick to the line of "plenty of material there to work on"
I struggle to see Axl do new music myself but he does appear to be happier these days.
I also think that Slash is probably eager to do his own stuff.
Slash has said that's what he hopes will happen. Richard is likely just regurgitating Slash's comments.

Axl's voice is echoey and too low in the mix.

I can't agree that Perhaps is well mixed. To me Absurd is the only one that sounds good sonically, Hard Skool is a mess and Perhaps is maybe a small notch better.

BUCKETHEAD needs to be on this, and/or Robin.
Would you settle for a 2006 Bumblefoot reworking?

WMMR Philly played Hard Skool once a day for a couple of weeks. I've been checking their recently played songs archive and they haven't played Perhaps once since it's release.

Haha, good God! I had forgotten about that Axl press release regarding Buckethead’s abrupt departure and them cancelling Rock in Rio. Must’ve been a real kick in the teeth for him as Velvet Revolver were just 2 months away from releasing Contraband. The VH1 Behind the Music (which I love) also came out 3 months later. When it rains, it pours.
If GNR had played Rio 2004 it probably would have been the exact same setlist as 2002 with no new album released that year. So I can't feel too bad for Axl on that front.

Didn't Loder spread rumors Axl was a crackhead?

Slash's interview about GNR riffs in a folder on his phone was from August 2018.

Don't like classic Sabbath, though I love solo Ozzy.

Apart from them sounding similar, are we even sure the vocal parts of Eye on You are confirmed to be the very same used on HS, or is that something we've just come to accept?
They don't sound exactly the same to me, but since the vast majority of users insisted they were the same I guess those of us with doubts just kind of accepted it.

Not when it comes to GNR. I think if the story is true about how he abandoned the JuJu Hounds during rehearsals with no explanation to the other guys that that was definitely an asshole move.

I think some or most of it is indeed fake, or at least the titles had little to do with the actual content but were just made up as a bait to hoarders for trading. I also think that a "list of Axl's enemies" that circulated and was supposed to be from these emails was fabricated.
Some of it may have been real though, because I think that there was indeed a legit "Better video treatment" that circulated.
Yeah, I think the Better video was to star puppets and the main character was a bird man.

Definitely prefer the album version. Yeah, Axl's rasp is nice on the remix, but he goes way overboard with the melodrama and emphasizing every other syllable.

I've got a more general question:
Do you guys think that if the leaks never happened, we still would have gotten single releases?
Because I feel that Axl saw the reception those songs got and thought "Ah, fuck it", let the other guys put their parts on it and just released it. If the leaks never happened I doubt we would have ever seen any new music be released.
Yes, though I'm not overly sure. Although Slash says all this stuff was done during the pandemic, we had confirmation Slash was recording in Axl's home studio in April 2019, and Hard Skool was being rehearsed and on the alt list on the first show of the 2019 tour, less than a month after Hardschool leaked in full. I think at least that one was already done before it actually leaked.

I think 4 is Slash's best album instrumentally in some time. Very diverse set. C'est La Vie, Spirit Love, Whatever Gets You By, Fall Back To Earth are all pretty cool, and I even really like the siren riff on The River Is Rising. Just needs a real songwriter to collaborate with. Fill My World is the only song Myles wrote above average melodies for.

Some of the people (though not all) insisting it's Fortus seem to be desperate to believe that Slash would not "allow" an ex-member to stay on a new song. Which is absurd for multiple reasons.

This track was already at legendary status when I first became a fan in 2010. Surreal to think it's actually coming out soon.

Loving the deep vocals in the chorus. I couldn't hear it as well as others on the touchtunes recordings.

...And they're still not allowed to post about this on the GNR Reddit! No news...nothing to see here!
Amazing to realize that HTGTH is no longer the most censored GNR community.

Oh fuck, Craig isn't gonna like this

Axl failed to promote it you mean. No one else. Just Axl. To go missing when the album comes out after all those years was the final nail. No video, no interview until Jan 09 and he knew full well that he was making a bold statement in one of those interviews saying Slash is a cancer. That was his idea of promotion. Two interviews then the Asian tour 11 months later.
Actually he did a third interview with a random Michigan newspaper, but it was behind a paywall so we didn't find out til over a decade later.

Y’all need to have some perspective. If this would have happened years ago, Axl would have flipped the fuck out and cancelled the rest of the tour.
My guess is they have 4 songs left to release.Hopefully Nothing isn't one of those four.

As for the "Slash would never allow part of Robin's solo to remain on a new song" argument...people have been saying this kind of stuff for years. No way Slash comes back without full reunion, no way Slash plays CD songs, no way Slash accepts TB as GNR management, no way Slash will stay if brand new music isn't worked on, ect. And have been wrong every time.

Is Perhaps the song with the most amount of lyrical content and song emphasis that relates to the break up of GN'R? I know Axl has said his song lyrics can mean more than one thing and I think there are scattered lyrics across a number of songs that could be about the break up of the original band and UYI lineup but I feel like Perhaps is the song that has the most content of lyrics that could be a reference to the break up
I have considered the thought that maybe the line "When I didn't see you" was in reference to the incident of Axl watching Izzy at his gate through his security camera and refusing to come out in late 1999, considering the demo of Perhaps is dated to early 2000, not long after. Probably not though.

You're right. Singing as awful as Axl does is something very few people have ever accomplished.
