We do, but if you don't want to believe it that is a mistake you'll have to live with the rest of your life.
The pic of Axl and Slash at the studio in Norway said they were listening to new mixes. As for the the other pic of Axl where it was mentioned he was recording, we have no idea if that had anything to do with GNR and won't until it's revealed whether Axl is going to be on the Schenker album or not.

I'll imagine they'll scrub this as soon as they can but imagine if this is really how we get our first recording of the song? The insane saga of CD has yet another chapter. It will never end.

Why brag about a prank that didn't even work?

These trolls are so dull compared to those a few years back. Remember the fake UMG document and Village track lists? At least we had to spend some time debating if that shit was credible.

This fandom is plagued with so many trolls posting fake shit. They are attracted to the desperation of GNR fans like a shark to blood.

I assume "nl" stands for Netherlands in the Apple link?

lol no, it wasn't even close. Completely different song.
LOL yes, it was very similar. Same structure, same riffs, same vocals of course.

Absurd was very similar to the 2018 leaked version.

I just need The General and Soul Monster. At this point I don't even care if the songs suck I just want to fucking hear them after decades of speculation.

Could’ve also been a lucky guess.
True. But I had replied to someone asking about the source of this rumor that it was just a joke on badapples so I felt I should correct that.

I have to correct a previous statement I made. On Gnrevo a user posted a pic from the GNR discord that apparently showed that *banned poster we are not allowed to discuss* did in fact predict 8/11 for Perhaps a few days ago, and according to those who interacted with him he also did predict The General for late September/October. Still not 100% sure as users can go to extreme lengths to fake these things, but it's not just a blatant troll post as I previously thought.

James on Gnrevo said he definitely remembers a setlist pic that had Oklahoma as an alternate for Riad. I am in the same boat as as @rocknroll41, I think Axl had a song in mind but never actually laid down vocals in the studio.

Genuine question: What is this assessment based on? He has writing credits for half of the songs on CD, but he shares those credits with at least two other songwriters on each song. Do we know exactly what his contributions are? I mean, they could be just minor.
I feel like if they were minor Axl wouldn't have given him the credits. He didn't give Fortus a credit for his contribution to Better.

That Slash and Duff would never accept TB as GNR management
That Axl wasn't writing new music because he wasn't inspired with NuGuns and would suddenly become prolific after the reunion

Not into any new acoustic stuff. I want to hear the rest of the shit Axl wrote when he was still relatively young and ready to take on the world. Glad CD II is still the priority instead of attempting to write brand new music.

Brian May has never talked about playing on Perhaps, nor has anyone else associated with GNR ever even implied such. Tommy has confirmed May worked on Riad. These are facts, not up for debate.

I don't really care what name they collaborate under, I'd love to hear Axl singing on new music written by Slash.
Slash is the songwriter there... 🤔 unless you are specifically talking about lyrics. And Myles isn't even my taste all the time, but he definitely is a competent songwriter. The World on fire album has some great vocal/lyrics as does year of the tiger
Lyrics and vocal melodies. Myles lyrics are cringe 99% of the time but his vocal melodies are even worse, all major key wanna be anthem garbage.

No, the fan said he was tired of waiting for new music. So Fortus told him to rest a while. It doesn't mean anything but to rest when you're tired. Zero meaning.
Ah, I stand corrected.

IIUC the reasoning usually isn't that people will buy tickets to hear the new songs played, but that the publicity from new music will help boost sales.

do you really like "4" ? nothing good for me
I don't like the album because of Myles but I thought Slash had a lot of cool ideas on it that went to waste. C'est La Vie, Spirit Love, Whatever Gets You By, Fall Back To Earth and The River Is Rising all could have been good songs with a competent songwriter.
-
I really hope it's not a cover album. Slash is too talented to waste all his new music on a low tier writer such as Myles. I never minded his voice as much as others did but his generic Nickelback/Shinedown lyrics and melodies ruined the albums for me. I thought the 2010 album was very cool. If it is a cover album I hope there's a lot of original riffs and leads.

Melissa Reese. At least Pitman co-wrote two great songs on CD. Her collaborations with Brain and Bucket were awful. Not an ounce of creative talent.

I forgot how much better Axl sounded in 2012 compared to today. I kind of lumped everything from 2011 onward (besides 2016 of course) in the Herbert/Mickey Mouse phase, but he sounds pretty decent in that clip above.

My problem with 2021 HS is Axl is too low in the mix and I dislike the echoey effect on his voice.
