Anyone in for an acoustic Lies version of State of Grace? I feel AIC unplugged vibes coming. 😁

Even Arctic Monkeys wouldn't have said 'no' to that I'm Sorry instrumental. 😂😎

I haven't even listened to the track yet and I feel like a lot of these responses are going to be better than the actual song.
Oh yeah, unless you enjoyed playing Wipeout on PS1 more than listening to Gn'R. 😊

“nothing” has vocals but it’s again just Axl singing the same two lines over and over in the first half and then just jibberish in the second half.
Yeah, very undeveloped idea. Don't listen to it expecting a finished song. 😒

Maybe @Gambit83 can try to contact Bob and get him on the show in light of the recent situation and have him listen to these recent leaks aswell and give his story/opinion and he could also answer that question for us.
But aren't the leaks from "the village sessions"? Which have taken place because bob had them go there? Maybe the date he was officially hired is different from when he heard the stuff, I don't know. Something doesn't make sense here.
That also means there are earlier versions that haven't leaked yet. "drool" 🤤 I 'm not necessarily the biggest fan of all songs but the lore behind it is so g' damn fascinating. 🤯

Remember the ending of The Blues "aaah aaah aaah aahh nananana aaah aa aa aaah nananana"
which turned into "aaah aaah aaah aaah what I tell ya aaah aaah aaah aaah that's what they'll tell ya"
obvisouly he tries to find the right tune/lyrics for the song similar to The Blues. unfortunately some of us would like to make fun of everything... it's cheap.
I am being dead serious about some tracks where it was - in my personal taste - overdone, like Rhiad, Scraped intro. It has the same effect on me as pop divas ad libbing endlessly: cut to the chase. When a vocal line adds to the overall song, please go ahead and 'ooooaaaaaah' away., 😁

Well, like you said, it's just a placeholder, who knows how the final pieces sounds like.
Since this is a song that's on the rumoured new EP, I can't wait to find out.

Tribute to Bucket's coop?
Is it just me, or should he tone down on the 'Axlisms'. A thousand 'ooooh aaaaaaaaaaaaaaah owa owwwwwws' don't necessarily improve a song. These trademark sounds used to complement actual strong lyrics. And I know this is a scratch vocal track, but the melodic idea/delivery just doesn't live up to the instrumental, as was the case with numerous other songs (Prostitute, Rhiad, ...) .

Any New Song with axl on vocals?
Nope. Not yet. 😁

Similar versions of Atlas also surfaced. Sound quality is top notch.

Nothing kinda sounds like a modern Doors.
Oh and theres a a milesecond of another song (or another part os these) sneaked between the clips of nothing and qs.
I noticed that too. Wondr if it's something we have already heard or new stuff. 😋

Nothing sounds... lame? That clip makes it sound like some kind of James Blunt/Coldplay-type mum-pop. I seriously hope I'm wrong and this is a State of Grace situation where the full track kicks my ass.
Or maybe I'm just getting spoilt by all this MacDaddy stuff and my expectations are too high.
Let's say both vocal clips sound real 'demo-ish'. 😏

Intro organ synth is very similar to the album opening synth from the finished version of CD
And the main riffs share some of the 'Better' dna. Sounds like a coherent piece of music. Thing is: I ADORE some of the instrumentals on CD (Prostitute, TIL) but was kind of let down by the vocals /multi-trAXL. I hope this gets a mean raspy vocal like the Better verses.

Lol, this song should be named KORNchucker. 😏

They didn't record it together but separately without knowing the other would be there too.
Is it me, or are his vocals already evolving towards 'early CD era' style?

Apparently Thyme was just an instrumental track
Think of how "Sirius" by Alan Parsons Project was really just an intro for "Eye in the Sky":
I love Sirius. 👌

Polish the vocals & lyrics and there's actually a cool melancholic song there.

shit not as bad as the phil collins forum then
Oh Lord.
On a side note. The only CD song I really want to hear without it being re-recorded is The General. That cellphone clip was rough as hell, but Bucket's guitar work...omg!

For me, easily the best Axl's work I have heard from him ever, period. Goosebumps every fucking time. And to think THIS has been shelved...
Glad you enjoy it. I loved the live version in 2010 with full rasp & great attitude, but the remix- recording just sounds too sterile and forced to my ear. I don't know, but maybe it's the production by Caram too. Always very cold. A big contrast compared to the Clink produced vocals of the past. 😁

I liked the "new" part of it quite a lot
I respect your opinion, but I kind of feel the same with the TIL Remix. It's such a 'forced' rasp on Axl's behalf. I'm more of a fan of how he sounds in the Better verses or the Angel Down stuff. Music wise, I'm not throwing up in my mouth hearing Robin's re-imagined SCOM solo, but the original is so hard to beat. Cheers.

Drums up version really sounds much clearer. Vocals seem to be more crisp too, as well as the guitars. A bit like the differences between the initial HS leak & the second version that leaked together with the CD batch.

umm, sure, SCOM from Big Daddy was probably the only part of "AFD99" (or I'd more precisely say "multiple AFD re-recordings during 98-99 at least) which ever got out.
And it wasn't any good... at all. 😊

Wow, really amazed with this version. I don't recall his voice sounding this strong on the 3 shows I attended in '16-'17 (Paris, Werchter and Graspop Metal Meeting)
