It means just as much to the fans who have been following the new band since 1999 that we hear the rest of the music from this era as well. It will close a chapter for many of us.

Yeah, can't say I'd blame the mods either. Once lawyers are brought into the picture, your hands are kind of tied.

It seems that neither of them are interested in fanning the reunion flames so I doubt either would be interested, what with all the press that would go with it.

The next album (whenever Axl gets to putting it out) is going to consist of songs that were written and recorded during the Chinese Democracy sessions, hence CD2. At least until further notice.

Radiohead just announced that they will be releasing their next album digitally on Feb 19, with physical editions to follow later in the year.

Seeing bands get creative about releasing their music makes me realize just how much Axl is robbing the fans of the next album by sitting on it, probably waiting for a big fat pay off that will most likely never come. If bands like NIN and Radiohead can do this, why can't GNR?

Agreed that this is probably the best way to go about a U.S. tour. Would probably aid whatever problems are blocking it from happening right now, that is, having new music to back up the tour.

Alright, enough about that fraud who shall remain nameless in this post, let's talk 2011. What would you like to see happen next? We know that an American tour was in the works for Feb, but that obviously hasn't worked out so well. With that said, what would you like to see Axl concentrate on next? Should he continue to press forward with plans for a U.S. tour, or should he start to prep CD2's release?

Guns N’ Roses May Put New Music on Facebook

A very ambiguous tweet on the Guns N’ Roses official Twitter account seems to suggest that the band may soon “lay some tracks” on their Facebook page at some point in 2011. Given GNR’s history of lateness, you probably shouldn’t hold your breath waiting for something to turn up — but it couldn’t hurt to friend them on Facebook just in case. [Guns N' Roses Twitter]

Nice to know that we're not the only ones the interpretted that tweet to mean new music.

Enough with the cryptic comments about The General, new music, etc. and let's see some action already.

Again, I'd like to stress that this obviously means that Axl will upload The General and Atlas Shrugged, making them available for download via their facebook page.

This is definitely going to happen, and the fans definitely wont still be waiting for new music like starving baby birds in a year from now, probably still discussing this very comment.

Which is why Axl was the biggest rock star in the world in the early 90s and his voice was badass throughout the entire 2+ year tour IMO.

At this point, i'd be happy with guns releasing anything new. So sure, why not.

There are four different versions of Guns N Roses. If you love ANY of those incarnations, you are as much a fan as someone else who loves a different incarnation. This forum isn't just for the fourth band. It's for 1-3 as well.
