Played a bit of it on PS3 and never got past the first couple of hours. Not that it was bad but more so that with parental duties, work, family etc I never had enough time to really tune out and get into it. I lent my sister and her other half my PS4 Pro a few weeks ago so he could play Last of Us for his birthday. Basically the deal was that I lend them my PS4, they buy the games and then I get the console back including new games a few months later. They bought Remastered and 2 so next year I'm going to have another go at them both.

Can't vouch for Part 2, but the first one is great. I have a feeling I won't be disappointed with the second!

The second more or less plays exactly the same, but the combat mechanics and inventory are refined and much smoother. I had an even better time with the second game. One of the most emotionally polarizing narratives I've ever experienced in a video game!

I have heard it is pretty heaving going, the gore looks like it rivals RDR2!

I just don't get it when it comes to The Last of Us.  I've tried three times to beat that game and I just can't.  I find it boring to no end.

I realize that it's just me, but I feel like I'm taking crazy pills when I hear how much people love this game.  Guess I'll never understand it.

Keep in mind I felt the same way about the Uncharted series but loved the Tomb Raider reboot.  So who knows.

I am a fan of Uncharted as well (apart from 3, that can fuck right off), but I can see why someone wouldn't be into TLoU. There is a style to Naughty Dog games. I still haven't played the original (?) Tomb Raider reboot, played Anniversary and enjoyed it. Should pick up the reboot while it is £2 or something stupid like that on PSN.

It would seem as though we had the same.e thought!

Absolutely brilliant game! I play a few multiplayer games here and there, but as I have gotten older and have less time on my hands, the single player story based games have really dominated my play time. I would agree the inventory is a twat, but it does add it to panic mid-fight. The combat is weighty and brutal, it genuinely feels like any fight can go south and that you are never onto a sure thing. The tunnel on the way to the hospital with TWO fucking bloaters milling about on top of clickers and runners! I have had loads of fun with this, hope the sequel is half as good. And also picked up the God of War reboot the other day for £8, so I am all sorted for the holidays!

That was the issue I had with the Vox. The Vox cranked sound is truly out of this world, and indeed when I made the impulse buy it was after trying one cranked at my local music store. It just doesn't maintain that sound well at lower volumes and after the initial excitement wore off I began to crave some versatility at lower volumes. Didn't take too long to end up back in Marshall land! If it ain't broke as they say.

Mini Jubilee is definitely something special, the naturally compressed voice of the amp means that the 5 watt mode isn't as tone sucking as normal half power modes IMO. Couple that with an insanely versatile EQ and you've got a keeper.

    Do tell?!

    Well music is a subjective thing, so my dogshit might be another person's top track list.. but examples would include;

    Specific songs:

    MAMACITA - Black Eyed Peas

Dancing In The Moonlight - Jubel

    Breaking Me - Topic

    Playlists:

    Massive Dance Classics

We do have some musical common ground, but she needs her own account...

A year would be pretty aggressive.

Most PS redesigns take three to four years.

I don’t expect a PS5 redesign until late 2022 at the very earliest. 2023 is more likely based on previous timelines.

Yeah wishful thinking on my part. I'll have to get that garage conversion into a cinema/game room so I have somewhere to house the thing....

I’m sticking with my Xbox One X until the PS5 gets a redesign. I just can’t get over the design of the box and would not work whatsoever with the dark aesthetic of my tv/entertainment room.  Perhaps if Sony had opted for black I would jump in this early in the PS5’s life cycle; but it’s far too hideous a design to be highlighted in white and not be an eyesore on my dark entertainment console.  I honestly have no idea what Sony designers were think with the white fins.

It is certainly an acquired taste! It kind of looks like something out of the Portal videogames. I still have at least 20 games in my PSN backlog so if a redesign is announced next year, I will hold on for something I may have a good of fitting in my entertainment centre.

I think that's what I'm gonna do too. I do like the look of the Series X but I'd rather spend a little more on upgrading my RTX 2070 Super to a 3080 because all of the XBox exclusives will be released on PC anyway.

Yeah Microsoft don't seem that bothered about trying to sell people a console anymore; I think they see this as the last real hardware generation before the quality of networks will be able to support X-Cloud being piped into people's homes and onto whatever device they have the Xbox app installed on to. I like the new Duelsense controller on the PS5, only reservation I have is the fucking size of it, I don't know where I would put it!

Thanks man. Yeah, that's a good one, I assume that's Bradley Cooper singing? One thing's for sure, his guitar sounds better than mine.😄 I'm currently playing a piece of shit but I've had it so long it's like an old buddy. I had a Wahburn but got it stolen after a gig, got a Taylor but wasn't happy with it. Guess I'll get one eventually.

Yeah, him singing and someone else playing the guitar I think. Don't worry about the tools, I have a £140 Yamaha acoustic from 2005 that is beat to fuck, but it is the guitar I play the most!

Really enjoyed this & "Crawling Back". Highly recommend both songs to anyone reading this!

Thanks man! I like your versions of Hard School and IRS, nice variations on the originals.

Ok, just gonna talk about the melody here because your vocals are always excellent.  I love a melody that takes me to a certain place and this does that. I hear some new wave influences in there, especially in the beginning, which is awesome. But it doesn't sound dated. The overall production is really good, great work bro.

I wanted to get a feeling of hope and potential in the song, really pleased that the melody takes you somewhere! This one went through a couple of re-writes so it took longer than I wanted. Got something next that is heavier and pretty different, then to finish up the year, I am putting out a few tracks on Spotify that I haven't got up there and re-working a couple of demos from 2015. If I get the time!

  10. Happy Friday Everyone! The Lockdown has been a monumental pain the arse for everyone, waiting for the day we are free again.

This song is about each new day and opportunity we have to make things a bit better for ourselves and our loved ones.

This is my first collaboration with the very talented James Papafagos, he supplied the majority of the guitars you can hear on this track and a couple of brilliant guitar leads, you check out more of his stuff here:
