Sounding pretty good! Only heard it on that BitTube site so will not comment on mix etc. Will be interesting to hear how Axl does the chorus vocals live... The "more of a man" in the second verse sounds less raspy than the demo to my ears (admittedly, I haven't heard that version for a year or so) could he have recorded new verse vocals? Chorus is clearly the same.

Thanks man, I can't take credit for anything apart from the lyrics and vocal performance, the rest is another dude (including the video and vocal melody). Been fun to work on something and not have to do an end to end process - write, record, edit, mix etc. We did a similar thing on another track which comes out tomorrow, will link on this thread when it is live.

It is My World Part 2, a steaming pile of rancid shit that Axl rubs into the faces of the faithful who want to hear something new.

After we finished up on Move The Needle, the guy who lent his guitar chops to the track shared a song he had partially worked on a couple of years ago. I put some lyrics down and returned the favour by stepping in for vocal duties. The track is queued to release next week on the 12th, but here is a preview of the track:

They had a good run, feathered the retirement nest nicely. Time for them to sack off the live shows and release a record

Definitely interesting how both bands turned out with the singer being the cause of the issues or scapegoat depending on who you speak to. With the clashes of creative forces and egos going on it is miracle any bands make it at all!

There’s nice space in between the drums/bass they each get to breathe if that makes sense. It’s hard make a mix where each instrument hits that level where it can be enjoyed on its own and in relation to the instruments around it. The track sounds great. But it’s a great song, no mix saves a shit song.

This is great feedback @Powderfinger! I lose my fucking mind when it comes to the mixdown, agonising over automations, delay trails and whether the guitar needs that extra 0.5 db of 7k... Always like to hear that the mix has translated!

The feedback at about 6 seconds in? Hold the note and stand with your pickups facing your guitar amp speaker (not too close), the note will bleed into harmonic feedback; you'll definitely be able to get it with a 5 watt valve amp.
