Hope you don't have a 78 Custom. I heard its heavier then a black hole.

Nice. I don't like the knobs though. I prefer  the top hat kind from the gold top and bursts.

I know what you mean; I wanted it all black and at the time the shop only had the black top hat ones with the silver tops, so I went with the ones on there. May get them changed for something that looks better.

That's so beautiful. The black LP studio was my first choice, but somehow I shifted to the cherry one because it was kinda like love at 2nd sight lol.

So here's mine, properly cleaned to avoid covid shit:

Nice, I have the Epiphone version of that, first decent guitar I owned! I will put the pickups from my Gibson into it one day (upgraded pickups and electrics a couple of years back on the Gibson), they are the Alnico V burstbuckers and have a chunky tone.

So yeah, I bought my first Gibson, an used LP Studio Worn Cherry 2008. It was relatively cheap, and it has all the basic specs I wanted. It's not as fleshy as my old Epiphone, but who cares, right?

It will arrive later today and I'm super pumped about it.

    Welcome to the family!

It's cool that you mentioned the chorus first, I have something I'm working on that I've considered putting the chorus first. But I don't think I can bring myself to do it, but then again i might.😄

    Follow your integrity my man!

Awesome. I'll do it for sure.

I noticed more the guitar tracks because that's my thing. I felt the ending would be rather grandious, the guitars kicking in are really cool.

But those cool studio tricks are really awesome, these are the reason why some things are better experienced with a nice set of headphones. :)

Yeah, a good set of headphones really helps to pick out the details!

Great stuff man. Epic ending. As a nerd with stuff like these, I really liked how it was produced. Dig the backing vocals panned in the speakers too.

Thanks man, the ending was something that the guitarist and I wanted to be huge; we worked backwards from that point once we had the vocals and guitars parts recorded, tried to make it as dynamic as possible with softer drum hits and side sticks in the verses.

There are a load of delay tricks in there; the guitar solo is two tracks, one low and one high octave. I used an instance of the same stereo delay on each track, which had a shorter delay on the left and longer on the right. On one I kept it like this, then with the other I swapped the delay times around and it sounds massive.

There are also spot effects on phrases, like "the truth" in the second verse and a panned delay on the last slide guitar part in the fist verse.

If you want a free copy of the track in high quality, you can download it from Bandcamp:

  7. Who the fuck mixed the audio??? The levels are distractingly uneven, the guitars aren't panned, the bass sounds like it has had a high pass filter at 200hz.  Drums are ok, but everything is flat, they need depth in there with either some reverb or blending in some mics that were positioned further back from the amps if they exist.

I've been doing some re-contextualized plunderphonic remixes. I've done some stuff like this before but I've never shared them here. I don't know if they'll up anybody's alley here but you never know. It's drug trippy ambient and half glitch. Nothing added on my part, just what was already recorded on his/their end.

    Never even heard of Glitch!

Seriously killer tune! Great production too.

Thanks dude! Working on a couple more at the moment, one brand new and one that was only ever a live band demo from about 15 years ago.

Great stuff there, I like how he lets the notes breath with more lengthy bends. The song is also good :)

I'll let him know you enjoyed it!

Great song. Indeed sounds like Skid Row a bit.

    I really liked the solo.

The solo is by my old guitarist, we have been collaborating since the Lockdown, so it's not all bad! Here is one of his solos from our old band (solo at about 2:10):

  11. I have had a PS4 since 2015, so two years late on that. Have a back catalogue that will take years for me to get through, next console will be the one that leads the generation. I went with the PS4 because it clearly edged the Xbox One, just like the 360 did with the PS3. Don't have enough time for two consoles at once, although my son has a Switch and I am dying to play Legend of Zelda.....
