While I would agree that it can't officially be a delay if it's not announced, I wouldn't call it "desperate speculation" when the date was right there in front of everyone. Desperate speculation would be someone in here saying, "Well, Perhaps has 7 letters. July's the 7th month of the year. That means it has to release on a Friday in July."

Let's say they want to postpone the release until the 18th. Why not just have the pre-save go live anyway? Am I missing something? You can confirm the song is coming out, put up a pre-save, and just put the 18th as the date right now. Either they have no idea what they're doing with the whole pre-save scenario, or it's as @rocknroll41 is saying, and it will be some kind of surprise release. Just do something for crying out fuck.

It really isn’t that hard to comprehend. You can also be hyped without responding to skeptics and calling them clowns. I’m not sure what snapping back at them really accomplishes here. It’s just two sides barking at that point. Two wrongs don’t make a right. Either way, one side will be correct about the 11th. No one wants to rub it in. Everyone just wants GNR to release some damn music.

That’s fine and all that, but you can’t say to not shame people and then proceed to use clown emojis for those that are skeptical about the 11th actually happening. I think it’s pointing to a release, but it’s not exactly as simple as saying GNR is going to release a song. They don’t exactly make it easy. And trust me, no real fan of this band is going to live longer than the average person.

Please stop making excuses for the band. They don’t have financial issues whatsoever. If they could reunite and get through those legalities, but they can’t muster up 4-5 Frankenstein CD songs in a few years, then they need a new legal team.
