She is useless. She doesn't fit in a rock band like Guns N' Roses. She looks stupid bouncing around like an idiot while pretending to play along to these timeless rock classics. Pretending to be playing shit is almost as bad as lip syncing. Her presence and appearance just ads a cheesy pop element  to an otherwise bad ass rock band. If she is contributing anything, it is nothing that Dizzy couldn't do.  7 band members is just overkill . Her backing ground vocals are over stated. They might sound good on some of the ballads but they don't sound good when she is singing over Duffs backup vocals on a song like Out Ta Get Me. A song she should be nowhere near in the first place. If they want her to sing backups on ballads, just have her come out for those songs.

Enjoy the show.. Those South American shows are going to be off the hook. I am jealous.

I don’t get people who think they as a fan have a right to tell a member of a band what they should or should not be doing, what their place is within the band, what they should wear and what option of an in ear monitor or headphones to wear.

Are you a member of the band?

Are you involved in band business decisions?

Maybe if you ask someone within the band they might tell you what Mellissa adds to the band as what she does only affects these people.

What is a rock band by the way. I thought rock n roll was about expressing who you are as a person but you seem to think it’s defined to a curtain visual look.

Did you think the same thing when Axl wore bike shorts? Was that the look that fits a rock band or do you think Axl wanted to wear something comfortable at the time that suited his needs.

  2. With everything going on up on the stage it is highly unlikely Axl would be focused or worrying about a sign in the crowd being held up by fan.

I am sure Axl has got a lot more things to think about on stage at the time.

It is common these days for venues to have terms and conditions of entry.

The security people would have been employed by a security contractor to the venue.

They would not take directives from an artist’s management directly as they don’t work for them.

The directive would have come from the venue to remove the sign as it may have violated the terms and conditions of entry.

The  security provider could have also decided to remove the sign based on their own polices. It is common for some security staff and security companies to no know curtain conditions or requirements of an event and take it upon themselves to ask fans to remove items including signs and banners.

It easy to blame Axl and the management team as they will not comment on the matter.

The issue should be directed at the venue and security provider in relation to the actions of removing the sign.

  3. So like me get this straight.

Some people don’t seem to like Richard being Richard.

I thought he was just being himself.

Have people forgotten what Guns N Roses is about.

So we wanna dedicate this song to the people who try to hold you back. The people who tell you how to live, people who tell you how to dress, people who tell you how to talk.. people who tell you what you can say and what you can’t say. I personally DON’T NEED THAT! I DON’T NEED THAT SHIT IN MY LIFE. Goes to the kind of people that get me down, they make me feel like somebody, somebody out there is Out ta get meee!

Axl Rose - Guns n’ Roses –live at the Ritz 1988, right before Out ta get me.

So Richard has to change who he is as a person to suit the fans, slash and duff now they are in the band.

I don’t think Slash and Duff would have asked him to change who he is. Not really their place or business to change who someone is as a person.

I would think it’s know one’ business or place to change Richard as a person or how he chooses to play guitar.

Sorum played a key role in helping to make GNR the biggest band on the planet. If he hadn't, he wouldn't have been inducted into the Rock Hall of Fame.  And Matt has said - and shown - that he's quite happy to share drum duties with Steven - which is what every fan wants to see. You can deny and pretend this isn't the case - but we all know this is the lineup fans want to see.

What role did Frank play in the band's success? He's a session musician - a hired hand - brought in to play the songs other musicians wrote and created.

To compare the two - or suggest Frank has somehow played a bigger role in GNR's success - is ludicrous.

And yes, this IS a reunion. People can play word semantics all they like - but at the end of the day, this is a reunion of the original lineup. If it wasn't, they wouldn't be booking stadiums. They'd still be booking weddings, bowling alleys and small arenas.

This is a business decision.  You are making it more complicated than it has to be from a business point of view.

This is not about the past it’s about the present and future as a business for GNR.

Yes, people this is a business and like all businesses you have the people that own the business, invest in the business and then the workers (Hired help).

Some of the things people seem to want does not work from a business point of view.

Do people really think the original 5 guys will get together out of nostalgia, or based on what album they wrote or played on for nothing... or do you think they would want something out of It like money or future avenues to receive money possibly a cut of tour profits.

Let’s take Steve and Matt sharing drum duties. How would you break down what each would get payed? Would it be by each song they played on? Maybe per beat etc. Maybe what album they played on in an era of past GNR history.

Let’s take slash only playing on the songs he wrote, Lets add Izzy in there playing rhythm guitar only to his songs and with slash and then Richard can  come out and play on CD songs. Again how would you work that out in terms of payment, royalties and tour profits among-est  all involved.

3 guys have worked out the best way from a business structure point of view for this to work.

They had the business structure in place already between the 3 of them, adding extras and making things complicated was only going to make the process harder and more drawn out.

After 20 years Axl and Slash have gone why have we been dicks, we are different people now in many different ways and let’s put the past behind us move on from a  personal point of view.

Why make that process harder for themselves by letting business get in the way.

Theses guys seem to be looking towards the future not in the past.

Maybe keeping Frank and Richard made better business sense to those involved.
