Eye Rocket Queen Slash Guitar Solo Sweet Child o' Mine Wichita Lineman November Rain Nightrain Catcher in the Rye This is from Setlist FM....so could not be 100 per cent accurate. No Live And Let Die?
  2. Thanks. Based on what people were saying I wondered if it was particularly worse than other shows this tour....but you're right it might well be that Better was played.
  3. Is this show noticeably worse than the others then?
  4. Catcher is on Setlist FM...... probably bullshit though.
  5. Yeah, I don't know when they stopped updating it, or if it's accurate.
  6. According to Setlist FM..... It's So Easy Bad Obsession Slither Chinese Democracy Welcome to the Jungle Mr. Brownstone Hard Skool Double Talkin' Jive Rocket Queen Slash Guitar Solo Sweet Child o' Mine Wichita Lineman November Rain
  7. So.....does anyone know what they're playing at all? They could be sailing their way through The General and we'd all be oblivious!
  8. Oh that's going to be a riot. Can't wait!
  9. Got to agree with him on both points! Time to reel out this old chestnut then..... Brian May once saw my parents test driving a Vauxhall Zafira car and went to the garage to buy one straight after they did.
  10. Ah! People aren't so eager on these threads as they were a week or so! All the excitement seems to be in the New Album/LGBTQ thread!
  11. Yeah, that's the reason Queen have never played.....and it is to do with badger culling I believe.
  12. I have SO many stories from those days; the places I ended up sleeping, how I got home from things, drinking, all that stuff. I do sort of miss it all a bit, even though at times it was a pain! It was certainly a big part of GNR history and a phase a lot of us went through with them. I have to say though, I'm going to enjoy just sitting back and watching this one from the comfort of my chair!
  13. Yeah, something around that mark. Crazy. My feeling is they'll stick to the times pretty much, maybe just a slight over-run to midnight or something. They're not the sort of band to rock the boat these days. I'd fucking love some drama though- power being cut, rants, etc. Absolutely love it!
  14. Oh yeah, and they had to pay to keep the tube line open too! I think there was one in Manchester that was around the 1.30/2 AM mark! I don't think Glastonbury would pull the plug on them, like other festivals, but I also can see them being pretty keen not to let GNR risk their licence, especially as there were some issues in the last year with Glastonbury and the local council about a few things to do with the licence. So.....we shall see!
  15. I looked all that up of curiosity actually this afternoon -McCartney went on at 9.30 and did 2hrs 45mins up to 12.15, so overshot by half an hour. I don't know how Glastonbury manage that really- there is literally no other event that can over run in the UK without huge fines, no matter how remote. I wonder if there was a big fine and McCartney stumped up? Edit: So, there are significant fines for any overrun. Springsteen over ran by 9 minutes, which accrued a £3000 fine which Glastonbury paid. McCartney overran in 2004 and paid the fine himself, so it's likely he did the same last year. A thirty minute curfew break would be in the region of £10,000. I'd imagine they wouldn't want the same again- here's the statement: "Glastonbury Festival Events Limited (GFEL) have an overrun procedure designed to prevent licence times being breached. If a band does overrun the council confirm the contravention to GFEL and GFEL are expected to address the matter promptly with a clear explanation of the reason for the overrun and what action is being taken to limit it. "The council will then decide the appropriate course of action based on an analysis of the circumstances causing the breach, the impacts and corrective measures taken. The action we take very much depends on the analysis of the circumstances as there are numerous courses of action that the council may consider so in theory there could be no penalty, nevertheless any minor breach would always be discussed with a view to securing improvements to prevent a recurrence. "At the other end of the spectrum a breach could lead to a review of the licence or it could lead to a successful prosecution and hence a fine. The decision to prosecute would have to be weighed up against a prosecution protocol and our council enforcement." So I'd have thought they wouldn't want an over-run again, so they don't risk their licence. Even though it could technically happen but GNR would likely have to pick the fee up.
  16. Elton has been rehearsing his full show for the last few days with his guests, so incredibly unlikely to be anything GNR related. If anyone, I would imagine Brian Jones and/or Angus Young....but I'd echo sentiments posted above that having guests is a bit cliche and tired these days, so sort of hope they don't.
  17. Stone Roses did actually make an album but decided it was shit and scrapped it! Much as I didn't like the two new Stone Roses they made, I sort of admire that- into the studio, try some stuff out, decide it isn't really good enough and split up again and move on.
  18. Hey we're desperate just to get one song here! Virtually every band has the 'announce new material and accompanying tour' model- if there ARE new songs, we wouldn't mind a bit of that sort of thing!
  19. I've never thought about any gig I've ever been to and said "oh I wish I had a few minutes of that recorded on my phone". Watching live stuff through a screen seems fucking bonkers to me. It's the world we live in though now- people just do it almost as a reflex. I hope it will die out at some point as the novelty of constantly recording stuff to prove to yourself you were there wears out.
  20. ....but yet every band still seems to release albums. Which they then tour around. How strange.
  21. So bands don't tour to promote music being released anymore? (Or vice versa?) The music industry must have missed that memo. Let Foo Fighters, Metallica, Pink, Taylor Swift, etc etc know quick that they're not logical and GNR are! They'll thank you I'm sure.
  22. It's what virtually every other music act does though .....
