Just got back on from watch Gladiators being filmed (great show by the way!) to find Boris Johnson has fucked off and GNR are playing TWAT! Brilliant!

Last two albums were amazing! Probably their best in my view.

I don't know. As I said, shirts all look the same (all shite) and the poster there said they were at the official stand.....so got to go with that really! See what they look like next photo we get I guess.

Hold on, people are still thinking that there may be a 'new' album in terms of newly written material? Give that one up folks. A 'new' album in terms of Chinese leftovers, re-worked? It would be madness if that didn't happen. Now is the time to get it out there too, but I imagine they'll do what they did before- a couple of singles they don't promote then they'll let the momentum die again as soon as the tour ends. Incredibly frustrating as it seems they're on the crest of a wave at the moment.

They look the same to my eye, just better presented? I think they might just be a bit shit! That AFD cross one looks especially dreadful quality.

I'm not really into any of those bands- and I think that's what people mean really when they say 'rock is dead'- they don't like much of the rock music being made at the moment. Personally, I don't like any music more than GNR.....but they're unique, a one off.

K-pop making an impact on your way if life? Sure isn't on mine, or anyone i know!

Culture has changed. There are more mediums, everything is ghettoised and in a bubble, people have access to too much stuff, so nothing has the sort of impact that it used to. You can wring your hands about it and say stuff was better in the past- but it's changed. Best thing to do is if/when GNR, or any other band for that matter you like, releases an album, go out, buy a copy, enjoy the hell out of it and don't worry so much about how many copies it's sold or what impact it's had. And if they can't get themselves sorted out to release an album, buy one from any of the number of hard working, talented bands out there looking for a break and a bit of recognition.

The whole 'rock is dead' thing is crazy. Of course it isn't. But if you expect the reaction to an old rock band releasing an album to be the same as it was when they were a hot new band back in the 1980s then you're going to be disappointed. Times move on. Things change. It's not a particularly shocking concept that people might prefer a shiny new pop band to a bunch of old rockers in 2023.

'Cautiously excited' would describe my mood about all this. I don't think that list is fake....but whether we ever get to hear it, I don't know. A little bit of me wonders if us discovering and discussing it reduces the chancea of it happening.

Could do both? I try to, because fuck me do I hate how Spotify treats artists. Also, if I can't spare $12 (or whatever) for an artist's work that I'll keep probably forever.....then I'm in trouble! Firm advocate of buying CDs and records here. And even a few cassettes! Oh, quite likely.....but let's be excited a for a bit!

I imagine it might drop in price now we know there's loads of them they've got sitting around! To be fair, if the CD had been the full gig I might have considered getting it. 6 tracks just seems needlessly mean spirited.

Really dreadful. The colours look off and they look so low quality. Genuinely surprised how poor they are.
