on the other hand, this is a standard, and not too far off from a custom shop model price. If I was in the market, I would hold off and buy a custom shop instead. :shrugs:

It's exactly the same price as a Standard, if you compare apples to apples. This has a AAA figured maple top. The only Standards below that price have AA tops or aren't figured at all. A Custom Shop 1958 Standard starts at $2,100 more than the Jessica, or more than twice the price if you go for a 1959/1960 Reissue at $6,699.

It's part of the Slash Collection so it's priced the same as those models.

Let's rewind the clock back to 1991 for a minute. Have seen mentions in the last week that Sebastian Bach has said he'd love to reunite with Skid Row for the fans with the news that Erik Gronwall has stepped down due to his health. They've got Lzzy Hale for some shows short term. I know there is some barriers to be broken down for this to happen with all that has happened. However the thought of having a Skid Row opening for Guns would be a great sell. Seb could come out for My Michelle during their set. Sure Axl would enjoy having Seb around.

Saw them at Wembley in 91 where they done a sterling job warming up the crowd before Guns.

MC no thanks, has no appeal whatsoever for me.

skid row with bach back opening would be great

Yeah that would be cool but I don't think it's going to happen anytime soon.

    You’re probably not well informed

No you're wrong dude, @IzzysMissy actually works in the industry and knows more than us about touring and booking. Idk which numbers are correct but she's definitely isn't "not well informed."

Im so sorry. I’m obviously the most misinformed person on this site. I’ll just be on my way! Carry on! It’s AWESOME that slash (playing no gnr songs) can pull in 15k people a night.

you can see that they had a lot of fun playing, very different to GNR ;)

Yeah that's the big difference with SMKC.

As for setlists.....well, if people go expecting GNR songs, that's on them really. He hasn't done more than one for a couple of tours, and if they cared enough they could easily find that out before they buy a ticket. It's a SMKC show, and, rightly, that's what the set is.

    Yes 100%.

I saw Dorothy live a couple years back and she puts on a great show and can really sing.  Unfortunately she is an unbearable follow on social media and crazy religious to the point where she has stopped shows to rid audience members of evil spirits lol

Yeah she's really gone off the deep end in the last couple years. Honestly the only reason that I'm still interested and go to her shows is because of my friend.

He seems heavy influenced by Slash and Perry 😄

    Yeah he is.

Yeah. Looks like he joined after it was recorded. Thats the way wiki makes it look anyway. I don't want to derail the thread though.

No, he (and the rest of her current band) were with her in 2021 but they didn't all play on the album. He plays on the song Made to Die; I don't think he's on any of the others. Her live drummer and bass player are on a few songs also. The songs on the album were recorded at different times during the pandemic into 2021 or so, so there's different players all over the album (and a few different producers). Trev Lukather produced and played on a few songs, Phil X plays on at least one, etc.

She's working on a new album now and he told me that he's recording on that one.

Slash saw everyone else in Glasgow in top hats so he took his off and apparently "disappointed" fans...do the papers throw at a dartboafd when they NEED to create a headline?

Inbetween right now...looking forward to it....hope sound picks up ...

Anybody knows Dorothy? I’m not familiar with their/her songs but there’s a Slash guest appearance in the Troubadour on Gifts From The Holy Ghost. Not bad. I also like the studio version. Here’s the song with Slash

I don’t know the song she sings on Slash’s album either so I have no idea what to expect.

Yeah Dorothy is a great singer and puts on a good show. The other guitarist in that video is a good friend of mine.

  9. Slash has said several times in the past that he's not doing those GnR songs with SMKC anymore now that he's back with GnR, so people shouldn't expect them. It's cool that he's doing DDM and BA as deep cuts but it's not expected that there will always be a GnR song there.
