I doubt there's much interesting stuff to put into a UYI box tbh.

The Demos Slash talks about without the piano on.

    QSound + Rough Mixes

Alternate Versions of the songs from the vault that might exist. (We never know)

Concert footage from the longest tour ever.

Just Another Sunday, Ain't Going Down, Crash Diet and all the other demos.

I think there's even more than what we have on the Appetite Box.

As I recall Fernando said they we not even considering doing UYI Box.

He just said there were no plans.

Because Brain said he worked on 6 remixes, and we already have 5. So or Brain remembers badly, or there's one remix missing. But he said he only worked on 6 remixes.

Oh ok, I didn't know that! If that's the case, then there's one missing.

BTW Marcos Acuña is a great player! Send more of those to Sporting! Don't send players like Viola or Fariña though

I see it more as a bonus for the hypothetical Chinese Democracy II. Not as two separate albums. Atleast we have the full remix album (maybe Sorry is missing but who knows).

How do you know it's the full remix album?

Where are the remixes for Chinese Democracy, Scraped, IRS, Sorry, Madagascar, Street of Dreams, Riad? Unless that album had like 7 songs and they didn't do the other songs, we're missing some of the remixes.

But who cares about remixes anyways?...

Hopefully, Jackie Chan or The General will come out someday! And I'm very interested to hear the very first version of Silkworms.

This one's just not for me. The remix album seems to use the same approach/beats/sounds for most of the songs. Acquired tasted I assume, but I don't think this would have been commercially successful. But more joy to those who actually dig it.

I think the remix album was supposed to be the bridge between Chinese Democracy and the Guns N'Roses album that was supposed to come afterwards, so that way the fans would have something to chew on, before the 2nd album came out.

In the end we didn't get a remix album (which would include Silkworms and Oh My God too), and we didn't get the 2nd album.

  5. Like I said before, I saw people putting lyrics on another website. I can't even make out those lyrics when I'm listening to it.

I would be an hypocrite if I said I don't hear Axl. Of course I hear him in the background and at full rasp too, but I can't make out what he's saying.

I hear the guitars too, very far away, but I hear them, but again can't make out most of it.

This IS The General, I'm pretty sure of that, but I wish we could hear it more clearly.

It's funny you mention the King because the intro to The General has always reminded me of the intro to This Is It.

I don't even know how you guys can even distinguish that on the clip.

I can't hear anything properly, except the guitars in the beginning and Axl screaming his lungs out in the end, and I can't even understand what he's saying.

Scraped live in 2010 is what it should have been.

    Shackler needs a revamp.

Rhiad is cool but I agree.

I can't stand Shackler. Especially those clean voice takes and the guitars. I hate it. It's the worst song of Chinese Democracy for me. Oh My God would have made that album Awesome, if it was there instead of Shackler. Hey I'm being honest! I understand if other people might like it.

Let me tell you what I like about Silkworms. Although, it's a bit repetitive and it probably needed a bit of work and the old intro back, The guitars sound like The Smashing Pumpkins, a bit of the same style, as "Siva":

And so to me it sounds like a mix of Punk Rock old GNR and a new Smashing Pumpkins line of sound.

Imagine a "Down on the Farm" but with modern Smashing Pumpkins sound and parts. To me that's what Silkworms is.

Also that Acapela is amazing! I mean who could have thought of putting that part in the middle of the song. Totally mysterious, totally unexpected, and it sounds great!

If you're hearing Silkworms for the first time, and you haven't checked all those Live versions we had before from RIO, you're gonna be surprised!

I think it's a great song, and a great creative effort. I hope Axl has done more songs like this and they eventually come out.

  8. I'm not a big fan of Shackler's Revenge. I think the song sucks to be honest. It was the worst song of Chinese Democracy for me. Would prefer to have had Silkworms or Oh My God on Chinese Democracy.

Scraped is ok, but to me Scraped is no better than Shotgun Blues. It's a rushed filler. You quickly forget about it and move on. It's catchy, but nothing more than that.

Riad is a great song, but needs a new solo and some lyrics instead of the "OOOOOOH OOOOOH WOOOOOOW"

  9. Silkworms is a great song! I prefer Silkworms to Shacklers Revenge, IRS, Scraped, Sorry, Prostitute, If The World or Riad any day of the week....

If Axl did this song with Duff and Slash, you wouldn't have so many effects and you would have a great Punk Rock song, like any song of the Spaghetti Incident.

Quite frankly with the effects on it's still much better than what I listed above from Chinese Democracy in my opinion! I'm guessing some of the songs from the Chinese Democracy were Axl's shot to fit into that whole new metal era.

after watching the videos, I am happy with my decision to get the Super Deluxe and then compliment that with the purchase of the remastered AFD LPs.  Some of the other stuff in the L&L box looks cool and I would love to have it, but a little too pricey.  I was leaning yes when the expected price was $650, but not at $1000

650$ would still be a fucking robbery! No disrespect man.
