I was going through my "Appetite for Outtakes" (It's called "Hell Revisited" as well) Bootleg cd, and I just noticed I might have "The Plague" and "New Work Tune" here, and it's just two instrumental.

Well, actually most of it leaked in the 80s/90s.
You know what I mean!

5 days to go and nothing leaked of the box to the General public on the internet! They're doing something right now!

What's mysogynistic is your own fucking interpretations of it.

I'm willing to guess that the vocals of Brain's Remix of This I Love comes from an alternate version of This I Love from around 2006/2007.
As Axl said many times, they had a couple of versions of each song. I think it's very plausible that there is an alternate version of This I Love with a slightly different instrumental track and Axl's Remix Vocals.

From what I heard, Marc was asked by Axl to not release the book before Chinese Democracy came out, and he agreed to it initially. Axl didn’t want any Reunion talk at that time, because he felt it would be bad for CD’s promotion.
However, Chinese Democracy which was supposed to be released and was delayed once again for the 1000 time, and Marc got tired of waiting and went ahead and released his book without Axl’s blessing.

I don’t intend to buy any of them, unless I get wasted.... then I’ve been known to make stupid purchases.... my latest was the terminator 2 blu ray with replica arm
Wow!! That’s so cool! I didn’t even know that was out. 😮

I liked the poster, and the blue ray, but to be honest, I'm not gonna be using the poster. That's good for teenagers. I'm 33, I'm not gonna have posters of bands on my walls.
So if I wanna be truly honest, The remaster itself with the second disc would be enough for me. The only thing is that the 2nd cd is only a compilation of the rest of the songs, so it doesn't have them all, and I wanna have the songs on CD, so I'm kinda undecided which version to buy.
If I should buy the 2 disc or the deluxe edition. Both versions have OK prices I guess.
I couldn't care less about the tickets copies, the poster or even the book itself, but I wanna have all the cds with all the songs.
The other thing is, I don't think collectibles like this should be announced that early (2 months earlier to the release, 1 month and a half). The long wait will make the fans uninterested and not act during that hype moment.
I think they should have only announced it like 15 days earlier to the release date, or even 20 days earlier. That way people would be hyped up about it when it got released. I think that's one of the biggest problems in the music business. It happens with other bands too, when singles get released like 2 or 3 months before the album is supposed to come out. It wears out the fanbase and takes all the hype away, and in my view a lot of people give up on buying the product during the process.

Sounds very nice, but "Move to the City" is one of my Favorite GNR songs. It would be dificult for it to surprise me now.
I still prefer the Original Lies version and the Live Era version. It's a great song lyrically and it sounds like Classic GNR decadence

Hopefully the remaster sounds good and isn't too clean sounding.
Remasters are always good for volume purposes. I have to constantly put the volume up when I’m listening to Appetite. I hope they amped the sound a bit!

I don't know how much the band was involved on this but any concert from the 86 to 89 era would have been a perfect fit and maybe justified the price a little. Going to pass for the minute.
True. I would buy it just for the remaster. I’ll either buy the two disc or the deluxe edition. Probably the deluxe edition for the blu ray.

A pro shot would've been ideal for it.
They should have recorded video and audio for the Troubadour show 2006, in my opinion, and include it.
Not that I’m not gonna be satisfied. I will and I’ll buy it anyways, but it would be a better experience for the fans.
The impression I get is that they should have made more research through youtube and other scources, to know what’s out there etc...
it feels the project was a bit rushed.

They should have included at least 1 Live show from that era in high quality sound, and a different show in video as well.
They could have included The Roxy show as the video one and then The Ritz as the audio one.

They're trying to capitalize the moment, with the Band's Official remastered Album release just a few days away.

I truly believe that there is a lot more out there, as far as complete songs go. Otherwise we wouldn't get the occasional leaks.
I also find it hard to believe that Blood in the Water is just what we heard on the "Prostitute" Remix. I'm inclined to believe that the Prostitute Remix might be a remix between Prostitute and Blood In The Water (The actual full song), which would mean that there would be a "Blood in the Water" track, as in a full song, and not just a Chorus. I could be wrong though, but I find it odd that Axl would record a chorus to include on another song's remix.
Also, I dunno where Going Down comes from, but I find it hard to believe that Going Down would be included on a remix album, where all this other tracks were supposed to be. So this leads me to think that there's more "CD2" unheard songs out there.
However, this is only speculation on my part.

A studio version of Silkworms from 2001 (chorus included) would be fantastic!
I believe with all my heart that that version of Silkworms will be the one that does justice to the song. Especially considering it has the long intro and the chorus.

Well, it wasnt really made by him...
What about "this song was put together by Mr. Chris Pittman and Dizzy Reed"?
Well I'm sure he was involved too.

Thank you! Haven't heard the full thing apart from what's already out there but sounds promising. Love Silkworms.
It's a great song! I think Axl really pushed his creativity to the next level on this one. Never in a million years did I think I would see Axl doing a song like this, and considering this song was first made (the original one) in 2000. It makes me think how would it fly by, during the whole new metal era, if Chinese Democracy had come out then. It would sell for sure!

Can anyone who heard this in full tell me what they thought? Always been curious as to how a full version sounded.
Great song! I was blown away! Obviously, on the chorus you feel like something's missing, but the song is pretty innovative if you ask me.
The acappela is awesome (I wish it lasted longer), probably the best moment of the song. I usually don't like what Bumblefoot adds to the songs too much, except for Catcher in the Rye, but on this one he completely nails it.
it's a pretty straight forward, simple lyrics, Rock N'Roll/Punkish/Electronic song. It sounds like a futuristic "Down on the Farm" to me.
If you had me choosing between Silkworms, Scraped, Shackler's Revenge or Sorry. I would have picked Silkworms all the way! Not that I don't like the other songs, but I feel Silkworms should have been released on Chinese Democracy. It's more creative and in a strange way, it sounds more like Guns N'Roses. It's also ballsy of Axl to do a song like this.
If they did this song with Slash and Duff they would transform this song into something that would sound like it came out of the Spaghetti Incident, however I do like the song as it is.

Should i remove the absurd in the middle?
No. Don't remove it. It sounds cool! Boost the volume on "What Can I do with a Bitch like you?" A little, and use this intro:

Same hair, same look. He just looks a bit more pale and he has no make up on. Looks like House of Blues Axl that just woke up a few minutes ago, to me. Oh and he shaved his sideburns as well.
AFD - Both Special Editions (Piece-By-Piece Unboxing)
in Appetite For Destruction Remastered Sub-Section

To me this whole box thing just seems like they're testing the market, and trying to get one thing out of the way (AFD). They could have done it when the album was 20, but they weren't together and there was no agreement or interest. They could have done when it was 10 years old, but they weren't on good terms either. They could have done it when the album turned 30, but they couldn't make in time... but before they had to wait for 40. They decided to release it anyways and get that boxset out of the way.
Let's be honest... It's not a bad box, it has good enough content for people to wanna buy it, and don't even say that the demos are all available on youtube, because you know as much as I do that the quality of most of these demos that are out there on youtube is not good. What is exaggerated is the price, in my opinion.
But on the other hand, you have Gene Simmons knocking at your door, asking you for 25K for his solo career demos and a handshake...
