I liked it when I first heard the bootleg from the HOB show back in 01. It was weird which is what I was expecting from the CD songs based on the descriptions I read in 1999-2000. I thought Madagascar was super weird the first time I heard that song as well but it grew on me immediately. I’ve never liked any of the studio versions of Riad. Mainly because the lyrics are bad. I was super disappointed it actually made the cut for CD because I thought it was by far the worst of all the leaks. But at least it wasn’t the worst song on CD that title belongs to Scraped which has the worst lyrics of any GNR song.

If it didn’t have the long intro or middle section I’d say hard school is the most like appetite from the Chinese era.

The only thing that's ridiculous is your statement.
Please cite some examples of people catching covid outside? Oh that’s right you can’t. Because you would literally have to be in someone’s face coughing or sneezing into their mouth to catch covid outside. These false notions are why idiot governments like California and all of Europe and Canada require people to wear masks outside. Rules backed by nothing based on nothing.

Every outdoor stadium should be at 100%. It’s almost impossible to catch covid outside. It’s all so ridiculous.

Paul Tobias would be a fascinating get. Kind of a mysterious figure.

I know, but David thought I meant Bob. We'll clear it up next time.
That was a GREAT interview @Gambit83 Really enjoyed it!

@Gambit83At the end of the interview you mentioned to David Wilde that Axl stated he wanted Dylan to hear a song. Axl was not talking about Bob Dylan. He was talking about Stephanie Seymour’s son Dylan.

Not to beat a dead horse (no pun intended) but the main reason his voice was so much worse is weight gain and being out of shape. Your vocal cords and head and neck muscles and diaphragm and trunk and spine muscles all play a roll in your ability to sing powerfully. When your body is de-conditioned those muscle groups cannot contract optimally leading to less vocal control and power. This is why many singers get worse as they age. Their muscular system is degrading. This is also why singers who emphasize proper nutrition and physical fitness (like Mick Jagger) can continue to perform at a level similar to their peak. Axl showed up in 2011 much heavier and much less fit than he was from 2006-2010. We are all sliding down the mountain but a healthy lifestyle and plenty of sleep and exercise can help to even out the slope.

I actually enjoy that album, for the most part. I'll admit I wouldn't own if it Axl wasn't on it though.
I enjoy the songs that feature Axl. He sounds better on all of them than he does on most of CD. His voice was so good in 2006-2007.

It’s annoying how many people have listed stuck inside. Not because it’s not one of Axl’s best studio performances (it definitely is) but because it’s on an ok song on Sebastian Bach’s crappy solo album. I can only hope Axl brought it like that on some of the unheard holy grail songs.

This list has always struck me as completely real and completely odd. Some of these songs are references to what I would assume are remixes (TIL2, Better2, Pro2) some unheard songs (a few of which we have now heard) and Catcher which I’ve read in places over the years was not always slated for CD1. This list seems to potentially confirm that. Then as mentioned above a bunch of songs that are rumored to exist are not listed. Which may confirm it actually was supposed to be a trilogy of records with bonus tracks (Remixes)

No fucking way. First of all this is not a “vaccine” Vaccines keep you from contracting a virus altogether. This is symptom mitigation shot. Meaning you can still %100 contract covid. You just may not develop the symptoms of the virus. This “vaccine” was rushed to market and has zero long term studies. 1988 Guns n Roses would have to come through a time machine for me to even consider getting the “vaccine” to see a concert. And even then I would probably not do it.

1. CD
2. Hard School
3. Riad
4. If the World
5. The Blues
6. TWAT
7. Catcher
8. State of Grace
9. IRS
10. Perhaps
11. Atlas
12. Madagascar
13. Prostitute
All finished in 2000 era form that is far and away the best rock album of 2000 and is a better album than CD. So I think it would have been praised for its modernity blended with classic GNR feel. It probably sells 5-8 mil copies and paves the way for a follow up with everything else on CD that is not on that track list plus a bunch of the unheard holy grail songs.

I never need to hear the live (or the album version for that matter) of KOHD or Paradise City ever again. Why won’t they dip backwards to the 90s for any of these pro-shots?!

To answer the question of the OP 2020 was extremely underwhelming. For some artists when you hit a certain level of wealth you just stop being motivated to do much. Some artists never stop being obsessed with their craft and sharing it no matter how wealthy they become. Unfortunately for all of us Guns is not one of those artists.

He just said in the podcast his source is the "internal document from Universal".
Oh no! Well I guess that’s it then. Board the windows back up. Nothing to see here. Like I said I never actually get my hopes up.

11/25? So, his source is that fake photoshopped troll shit? Mitch is no better than Altnation/GNRCentral.
I don’t think it has anything to do with that fake image. I think it’s all about Black Friday. There could not be a better day in the year if you wanted to release an album.

Ya'll building yourselves up to be knocked down again huh? After so many paraded the "I'm done" LOL
No. Personally I never allow myself to get hopeful about new GNR music. I just enjoy the discourse. I wasted way too much energy on CD between 1999 and 2008. I’m never doing that again.

There is not going to be a tour until next year and this is not the 80s or the 90s. A new song or album is not going to motivate someone to go see a legacy artist. So it’s really irrelevant when the album gets released. So why not just release something now.

Why would anyone talk to Niven about GNR at this point. He hasn’t been in the loop for 30 years.
Slash still talks to him on a regular basis.

I was at the show on the 29th. His hair did have a couple of braids but it was nothing like the 02 predator look. Axl actually looked amazing. He looked almost exactly like he looked in 1991/1992. I was actually shocked when took the stage. I did not expect classic Axl Rose to walk on stage but that’s what we got. As far as his voice it was very good. It was not as good as it was in 2006 or 2010 but it was damn close. That lineup was absolutely bonkers. Brain had a fucking Mohawk at the time, Tommy looked like a Sid Vicious impersonator, Robin looked like an Alien, Paul Tobias looked like a detached alcoholic with a beard, Dizzy had dreads, Bucket looked like a Halloween character freak, and then you had vintage Axl Rose with a couple of braids. They played Oh My God, Silkworms, Madagascar, Chinese, and the Blues plus almost all of appetite and the hits from the illusions. I have to this day never been more excited at a show and I have been to a shit ton of shows.
