I crack up remember when Slice said he wasn’t sure how many songs they did. He knows exactly how many. He’s probably just not sure how many will be allowed to be released. If I were a betting man I’d say there was maybe 4 total. Hardskool, Absurd, Perhaps, and maybe the General or something completely different. Now there were a chunk of months early this year that things were quiet aside from duff doing a few iggy shows. So they could’ve done something then. I doubt it though. That’s probably when Duff worked on his stuff that’s coming in November.

There was a time

I saw that. Bastards lol. Them showing that makes me think they really are reading this shit.

Somewhat surprised that this band doesn’t rehearse in a closed room similar to Metallica pre show, and have others handle their soundcheck. That would eliminate knowledge of what’s played live and or new song’s knowledge if they’re so keen on not putting out substantial new music beyond a song or Two or live shit. Probably due to too many members and or they really don’t care for one another much lol. the only covers I’d like to hear this point are axl on studio versions of post GNR songs ok. A few to mention would be: back & forth again neither can I Beggars and hangers on Good to be alive Shine back to the moment serial killer fall to pieces slither Do it for the kids some of duffs songs would be cool too.

Oh he’s definitely been more productive. They all have with exception of Axl Grease. Axl has released the least yet recorded 60-70 songs supposedly over a 10+ year period. Per Finck when he left “dozens and dozens of songs.” Yet we’ve heard 17 completed songs of supposed dozens and had several albums from every other member. If people can’t see who/m the problem has been that’s a given. I guess it’s easier to ride your youth and have the Kartrashians wear your shirts. The issue with all of this is all of the press they used to do over the years has never come to fruition. They probably don’t like sharing information because it can cause people/fans to hold them accountable to what’s been said. The scapegoat going back into late 80’s is “management, label, some secret entity, or whatever the hell the exercise is from one moment to another.” I assume this probably leads to why they don’t do press now much or can’t say anything directly. Axl is at the damn game controller. There’s no other reasons. We’ve heard for years “oh it’s guns so you never know.” Well explain that in depth. What does that mean? Why does it take so long. Call people out! But they won’t. Why? $$$$$$$$ and jobs at stake. Business took over the music many years ago. Now it becomes we have to create something that doesn’t tarnished our already funked legacy. That’s probably the hesitation along with other obligations. If Duff and Slash can put out more then 1 record since 2016 and Guns N’ Roses puts out 2 subpar songs, it’s pretty telling.

I’m sure they know who and why it was taken down. It’s done for a reason. Probably due to certain people backing out of releasing things. So they don’t want to get people speculating in event it’s not perfect enough or whatever the insecure reason is. People who work for and with the band read a big chunk of this shit on all of these forums. I bet there are people paid to monitor such things attached to management. May not be TB. I don’t think TB has much control of anything to be honest. They probably are a contact point of booking and PR for the band and that’s about it. Just release a damn album(s) already. Slash/duff/axl won’t go in and track an all new guns record IMO. I wish they’d taken Izzy up on just being a writing partner for the band years ago. Might have changed things drastically. But then again, maybe not. It’s not like Izzy’s solo career took off in any form. sure wish Robin would do more interviews and talk about his time involved in depth. It would probably fall under the whole “that was so long ago” bullshit. Same with Pittman. Wonder when/if their NDA’s ever expire.

My guess is Axl is super scared to release new music. Probably intimidated. It would suck to front this band. Especially knowing you single-handedly ripped it apart 28 years ago at its peak. I often think back to that time and wonder. What if GNR had released a new album in 96. I think it would’ve done okay but I think they would’ve faded into mediocrity as grunge/alternative/post rock and nu metal took over bulk of mid to late 80’s. Chinese would have killed 98-2002 if he’d released his 3 records at that point. Now he’s going what for? We are a nostalgia act. If that weren’t the case they’d be doing a lot of new music.

Gotta be a bit annoying for at least FfuD and Slice to be playing the same songs over and over and nothing new. I mean I’m sure they were stoked for hard school and absurd, but shit absurd was released in August last year. 2 songs in 7 years being reunited has to be painful for a creative person. Bet the moneys great though and funding a few generations of retirements. Sad that in the next 10 years they won’t be around. This band isn’t the stones. They could have been. That was blown in 94. What they should have done is a press release after sympathy was done saying they were taking 2 years off after touring so long and putting out a double album and then a covers album and a single. They could’ve stayed away from each other and not had any guns crap for that 2 years. Then regrouped in fall 96 and started clean. I bet shit would’ve been slightly different. Big issue was they got big so fast and you got a bunch of 25-30 year olds with a lot of money and power. Won’t happen again that’s for sure. As Beato said in his video today. Guns N’ Roses is becoming less popular and will continue to. So are the Beatles. Writing is on the wall IMO.

If they’d been rehearsing the general I’d assume the same, but doesn’t appear that will come. I think perhaps will truly be next as it’s been regularly rehearsed lately and maybe Oklahoma/Berlin. I have a weird hunch that the general will never come. Axl can’t even really sing like the evaders versions on your YouTube and that have been out there.

Will be cool to hear something finished in some form as far as new song. Still seems a bit annoying. 3 songs in 15 years lol. I still think songs only got released because of the locker stuff. Which is why they’re releasing locker songs that had lyrics already tracked. It’s been the only thing that makes me wonder if the locker stuff truly was only items. with lyrics. Whispers say differently but maybe they were just saying they had a/b list completed to save face back in 2004-2007.

New RHCP records are great. Here’s why. They won’t impact us like they did with blood sugar, Californication, mothers milk, etc. why? Because they already peaked. So now when bands like them or tool which I love as well or Deftones make an album…I’m stoked because that band made new music and released it. So what do I expect? I expect it to sound like that band in some way. Not the past. It won’t impact us like the older records because it’s life. Teenagers tend to latch on to things during development years up to 25 so for majority of us it won’t impact us how it once did. So I get happy when bands of my youth release anything. As top 40 shit nowadays has no depth or substance. Also what interesting things do a bunch rich old guys have to say that we don’t already know at this point. on a side note I told Richard on Instagram that they should play Berlin/Oklahoma in Berlin this week. Lol then realized it’s Switzerland lol
