I’d like to hear it. It’s a very positive vibe style song which there aren’t many of in the catalog IMO. Would be cool if it got reworked.

I read Fernando’s responses on Reddit. Some were a bit odd. My guess is they know people have been clambering about the general for years. My guess is it will be an as it was track. It would rule if we got atlas in November per what was discussed on Reddit and if they added with another b-side like soul monster or anything really. To me those would be the next other songs I’d really like to hear. I like Atlas how it is, but would like to hear 2.0 version. Ultimately I’d like to hear a lot more of what was finished during the Chinese years, but I think it has a stopping point. At some point slash and duff will want original stuff. Maybe not though. Whatever their contracts were/are probably drive that bus. I think Atlas will for sure come at some point. Just hope we continue seeing new old music and new new music. You know if they did some press and someone asked the 3 of them so A,S,D what’s the origins of these 3 songs? Are any from the mid 90’s before the hiatus?

I think my only issue with the Final released version of this song is the weird prechorus mixes of the oooooo” sounds or maybe it’s a synth. They come in quite loud. I only probably notice that type of shit being a musician. Sometimes I wish I wasn’t someone who got into writing and recording because I overanalyze that shit. Average fan won’t care. I wonder if the general will even have slash and Duff if it’s a B-side. Call me greedy but I hope they release at least a few more songs within the next year while they’re off. One thing that is cool is in that video you can tell they dubbed some parts just for the video for the singing parts and one thing that stands out all of that footage. Axl is definitely the happiest I’ve seen him in my 30+ years of being a fan. Let’s just hope their bow at the end of the video isn’t their last.

I hope Axl does some sort of interview or press once this tour is done and that someone asks intelligible questions about the songs background and intentions of music past and present, future, etc. probably won’t happen though. Because they like that.

I thought the song breathed a bit more than the demo. I liked the older solo a bit better. Slash in reality probably would’ve been similar to Robin’s but he had to do something different so it makes sense. I wish they hadn’t cut the songs ending off too. Vocals are far more clear and less busy too. It’s a very Elton John-esque song. I get so tired of seeing the whole appetite stuff people hold on to so much. GNR’s sound IMO evolved and grew into illusions style. That’s what they were was those records. It’s how they grew. So anything post should or probably will sound that way. There’s a grandiose vibe on the CD songs as there was on illusions. That’s what I loved about this band. It’s the heavy edgier version of Queen blended with Elton.

Seems all of the locker demos have been pulled from online sources again. What’s odd is all of the general stuff other than the drum mashup one have been pulled too. Would be hilarious if the evader mix was damn near exact and that’s why they’re flagging it.

One thing this debunks the thought the algorithms work on Spotify or Apple Music. They’re not showing perhaps for Pistolas y Rosas

Man, alternative nation comments about this shows more people don’t want new music than do. Shit is just sad. Hope shit like that doesn’t prevent more new music from coming in the future.

Chinese rules, the left over rules. Let’s take that out of the equation theoretically. Hypothetically Summer 2024 Axl slash Duff Izzy and Steven decide to do a new final GNR album. Would it be good? Eh IMO par. Why do I say that? Because slash in his own right has not really written any memorable leads since Illusions/OG GNR. Slash is my fav of all time, but realistically the closest he came in recent years was Anastasia, and that lead is a play on a Mozart song really. Goes back to they don’t need to release shit. I actually love it all. But their days of being modernly popular like we once knew are long dead. Chinese we all enjoy because 3 genres came and went during the making of. So it was fresh. Had that album and another album came out 95-01 I believe they would have been massive with GNR2.0. General, soul, perhaps, atlas, Oklahoma, curly shuffle, state of, d tune, are the only ones I’d like to hear updated and released. Then I’d like to hear a full newly written album. My guess is if there is ever an actual new album it will be a blend of left overs and a few newly written songs. All Big IFs.

Anyone else besides me think we are more likely to see Atlas released before The General?

Give me both. Being a fan of this band we deserve to be a bit greedy when we had to wait for 13 years for a record and another 13 for a new single.

Let’s hope we get more than 1 song this year. Let’s hope it’s 4. We all knew it was coming so I’m not as excited. Interested to see how they adjusted it with Slice and Derff. I’ll bet Atlas would be next
