  1. I'm not defending this woman, or attacking Axl. I was unaware of her comments, because I didn't look into it, because I really dont care. My only point is Axl is more likely guilty than innocent when it comes to things like this. We like to wear rose-colored (pun intended) glasses when it comes to rockstars, but they did some fucked up shit, and then wrote songs about it! lol
  2. You fucking morons don't understand the difference to believing somebody's claims, and a guilty verdict ... Fuck off CLOWN
  3. Unless there's concrete proof to the contrary, this woman is to be automatically believed. Axl was a known abuser, sexually, physically, emotionally, to women, lovers, employees, etc.
  4. GnR doesn't need help. They cleared over $500 million in less than 5 years of touring lmao
  5. Even if real, what would it matter? We already know the fate of this song. It's been completely abandoned, with one vocal part being frankensteined into Hardschool
  6. Forgot about Shackler's, but that one doesn't really count, because the demo we got was a very early working demo.
  7. No CD song was "way different" than their respective demos. The structures of each song was exactly the same.
  8. The General is a decent song. It's a far cry from epic. It definitely was not worth the wait. Will never get over Axl taking as long as he did to release ChiDem to then never follow it up and then 13 years later fart out lackluster leftovers
  9. Monsters is a completely different song so irrelevant to this discussion. And no, I do not think all of The General sounds like NITL. I should have clarified, but it's just the chorus where he goes high, that I think sounds exactly like how he does now. The rest of the song I agree is the original vocals from either early or mid 2000s. That's my line of thinking ... The verses sound like early 2000s Axl, but the chorus sounds like how he sounds now live ...
  10. First time I heard the leak I immediately thought "this sounds like NITL Axl" .. When I heard the live performance I thought "he sounds like he does on the leak" .. And we all know Axl cannot sing any of the ChiDem songs that have high vocals anymore ..
  11. Curious as to where other members are at on this. To me, it sounds very obvious that the vocals on this leak are modern Axl. I think he rerecorded the vocals during covid when it was decided that these few ChiDem leftovers would be worked on and released. Now that we got a live performance, it seems even more so to be the case, because Axl sounded just like he did on the leak. Others have noticed as well. Others also think the vocals sounds like his vocals on other ChiDem tracks, which we know were mostly all recorded during 1998. I included 2010-2014 because of the rumors of work on ChiDem2 and its imminent release happening during this period.
  12. Not even close dude. He sounds like the deflated old man he is now on The General. Go listen Prostitute then The General. HUGE difference. Cmon ..
  13. Well we've had many arguments over the years about whether or not Axl was being honest about saying he recorded the vocals for Soul Monster back in 2005. I lost faith, but I stand corrected.
  14. On the state of ChiDem2 songs, per Slash's comments regarding the possibility of another 2-4 more songs, we now have: 1. Absurd 2. Hardschool 3. Perhaps 4. The General With Soul Monster also leaking, that may indicate that was one of the songs Slash and Duff reworked. If so, we know Atlas was complete and ready for release back in 2008, so unless Axl decided to shelve that song, it is very possible that the next and final two songs from ChiDem we're getting are Soul Monster and Atlas Shrugged.
  15. I owe @SoulMonster an apology. Axl really did finish the vocals for Soul Monster. I still don't think songs like Zodiac, Dub Suplex, Tonto, etc have finished vocals though
  16. Yup! I made a comment about that when it leaked, but with dozens of comments happening at the same time it must have got buried because nobody responded, and I also am not reading through every comment lol but there's no way the vocals on that leak are from 1999 or even 2006. The vocals on The General leak sound like they were recorded within the last few years. Adjusting sound levels is not a significant difference. I said the vinyl is not going to be "all that different" meaning the actual song itself.
  17. Sounded exactly like the leak. Don't expect the vinyl release to sound all that different to what we already got.
  18. Your comment just made me realize, this is the longest stretch a GnR lineup has gone without any changes
  19. No, but they could definitely had been a very successful rock band through the 2000s, on par with Linkin Park, Three Days Grace, Disturbed, etc
  20. Bach didn't say The General was the sequel to Estranged .. He said that's what Axl told him, and Axl said it's the sequel lyrically, because it follows the theme of the short story that inspired Estranged and the November Rain music video.
