  1. You have all the links @Blackstar.                                     Whatever his settlement was with first wife, NDA probably , and it was a light amount. He and Perla were together for a long time. I knd of feel sorry for her because what her comments were around when she was divorcing, she did not want that. She really would have preferred him and his millions  over her millions.                                                                                       That was a good interview way back then  about his opinion on NuGuns, Axl. This old interview applies to what we are discussing  .

Its 100k a month until she marries or dies or total payout of 6.6 million.

Slash wants to do the total payout from what i read.

Like no way can he do a cash payout. What, 40 million. People like that just don't have cash sitting in the bank.  . The settlement is also a million, tad bit over, for the rest of her life. She is only 40-42.                                                                                                         I think AXL would be the first to retire due to his voice, age, and health.   Some here posted of TheBig3 doing Vegas residencys. They would that. A best, biggest cash grab. 4- 5  nights a stretch  with stay at the hotel penthouse, then fly home between breaks. Easy. No jetlag,  new stadium nightly, and be at home or close to their own homes. An hour by private jet. Sweet. Entertainers take the big money for Vegas residentcy. Less overhead money for them in staffing. Win- win.

According to this, the $100,000 per month in spousal support is in addition to the $6.6 million Slash had to pay for the settlement:

    https://www.tmz.com/2018/09/04/slash-wife-perla-divorce-court-battle-guns-n-roses/

According to the divorce settlement -- obtained by TMZ -- Slash will pay Perla $6.6 million as well as $100,000 per month in spousal support and $39,000 per month in child support.

Slash will keep all his guitars and any musical compositions he owns ... with future proceeds belonging to Slash. He'll also get a 2011 Ford F-150 and the Beverly Hills house. Perla will get the house in L.A., a 2014 Range Rover, 2 Mercedes.

Perla gets primary physical custody -- and get this -- each kid will get .09% of Slash's income for the next 20 years.

No prenup. Two kids. She got one of the best divorce settlements in entertainment. It was fair in that she was going to be a wealthy woman accostumed to the predivorce lifestyle . Seems to me that he, his camp should have gone for a straight payout, 20 million + one property which would have brought her to a 25 million total. He has to pay her a lil over a million for life.  Beyond his grave, he will be paying her. She is younger, better health. Paying their young children their inheirtance like while he is no where near the end of his life , like where is the incentive for them to become earners, working, doing their own thing? Even if that goes to a trust fund whatever, certainly they get a monthly allowance so no incentive to find themselves and their own path. Perla was smart, I understand that, in getting her kids with him set up if he were going to start making babies with some 26 yr old model, actress. Slash was smart in Megan. He should legally  marry her with a few million prenup set aside. She won't care because truly, that girl wants him for the lifetime and not the lifestyle.

I’m pretty sure I had read that he had to pay Perla $100k a month for the rest of her life but someone else on this thread clarified for me that that’s false, apparently, so I stand corrected.

He is worth over 100 million, easy after NITL Tour.. But his monthly lifestyle costs hundreds of thousands. Can you imagine?  But people  like that don't have kind of money just in the bank, lol. Yes their settlement is paying her  a month for life which comes out to a little over a million a year for the rest of her life. Only saving grace he has is if she remarries...no way no how will she ever remarry which is like a hold on her life. She can live in with her significant other so then ,in a way, Slash is supporting a full azz, grown azz man. She is only going to be alive for another 45-50  years, lol, and will outlive him. She is like 40-42.. Maybe he wants to pay her or does all once a year instead of monthly.                                                                                           Yes he will be playing and making music and growing in different things because he likes performing and has his own following.   DUFF  has his own things and his wife and GnR catapulted him way over. He has to be over the 100 million mark too. I dont see him ever retiring from growing in his music doing guest appearances, writing, etc. and maybe him and his life writing a book together on something.  STEVE  and MATT,  I see them doing less n less eventually, but always working in things on music and stuff they like and want . They are way , far under, lol,  the 100 million mark, but I think they are way better living than Axl who is,after NITL tour, over 200 million mark. IZZY has been retired kind of sort of from performing since 1994. Guest performances with NuGuns and some Vegas HardRock hotel I think it was ,way in the 90s with Duff and really big ,important legends I like Buddy Guy, etc. I do not ever see him ever on stage with TheBig4. Izzy is way , so far ,way under the 100 million mark, but like Steve, Matt, happyily ,blessed. They are ,my opinion, way ,far better off than Axl. * Money is really not everything if you don't have  those other things.

  5. Do you think they will bring Steve,Matt, Izzy back for a short, like 3  month American tour some day for a farewell tour?                                                                           I think TheBig3 will retire or stop GnR after Tour 2021 which was supposed to be Tour 2020, whatever it was to be called. After next year,  I predict same setlist, shows all over the world will run out of steam. They have been literally everywhere  a few times over on NITL Tour. I predict no new music. I think after Tour2021, they will put away GnR. Mission accomplished.  They had a redo, second chance at life here and did a proper UYIs with AFD etc.  To end GnR, like all acts do a goodbye, exiting stage left ,lol, farewell tour maybe around 2025. Ex. Cher has had 2-3 farewell tours. I think GnR would want Steve, Matt, Izzy  only because of getting  tickets sold out by presenting their audience with a twist. Differences could be put aside for money ,touring, playing the music. Certainly Steve, Izzy could do an American short tour. Thing is , all the guys ....I am sorry, but they are not The Stones . I dont see it. The Big 3, maybe Tour2021 will be called their Farewell tour.

  6. GnR lucked out. 550 million plus highest ranking top 5  tour ever ,NITL tour, 3.5 years. Had this situation not  happened, Tour( still reunion tour) 2020 would have sold out too.  People here who complain of same setlist, no new music, still would have gone and that is ok. It is what you like.  Better for The Big3 of this canceled year because being away will give their fans more of a want for them.2021. It is up to TheBig3 if they want to go back on the road. They will because they their audience is there for sales. Next year might make a difference in competition  from so many entertainers being out there.

  7. And  that is that. Axl and then his heirs own the name. Axl as owner of the name can do what he pleases with it. It was just not going out on tour post UYIs and prereunion as GnR, but he use it  and approve  it for anything ohhhh, like a  children's book.  I assume all band members  who wrote on all songs own that . Meaning Steven Izzy, Maty did not sell it out to Axl or The Big3. Thnx

It's not necessarily stuff that sounds too "terrible" at first glance, but stories that are partly altered, so they may not be accurate.

For example, the story about why Izzy left Hollywood Rose when Slash joined. Slash gave different versions in old interviews and in his book:

    97.7 HTZ FM, January 1994:

    https://www.a-4-d.com/t620-1994-01-dd-97-7-htz_fm-interview-with-slash

    Slash's book:

Slash confuses the Hollywood Rose guitarists (Tracii Guns or Chris Weber), in the two versions, but he apparently refers to the same event (him joining Hollywood Rose and Izzy quitting).

The common thing in both versions is that Izzy left because he didn't like to be dictated/others making decisions for him. However, in the 1994 interview the one Izzy didn't like being dictated by was Slash who was "bossy"; whereas in the book it was Axl's fault because he had fired Weber without telling Izzy (btw there aren't any other sources confirming that Weber was fired).

Axl has claimed that there was rivalry between Slash and Izzy - and there seems to be some truth to that, based on some events and what they, Slash especially, said in old interviews. But in Slash's book, which was affected by his point of view and feelings after the breakup of the band, his relationship with Izzy is rather glossed over, and the pattern is that from the beginning it was just Axl on one side and the rest of the band together on the other.

I have read Slash own words, he was leary working with another guitarist. ..except Izzy.Slash ideas of himself being an only guitarist.  I have read he did not want to be with Izzy in a band at first. He did not know what he wanted or needed. He was just one of a bunch of wanna be's in bands, nothing special. ( I will wait for someone to correct on that). L.A. Guns, Hollywood Roses, and all the dozen bands GnR guys were in would have no where. ( I will wait for someone to correct here again).   Fate and luck knew. FACT--- GnR AFD, FACT that they know and we all for the good, bad, ugly, it brought them to the life of riches in career as real musicans and in  living wonderful , financially secure lives beyond their then wildest dreams. They 5 simply were the right mix.together. Regarding Matts book. This key fact and his own talent ,of course, got him by Slash saying so ,in GnR which was at its peak with UIY almost ready to roll.

You're right! The creepy/gross stuff overshadows some rare interesting parts actually about music and the band. Would love to hear Axl's version of that discussion... Matt's version seems a bit random/cliché about Axl (rambling on mid 80s stories) but who knows!

I can definitely imagine the discussion about synths though. I wonder what Slash truly thinks about Melissa's addition to the band...

    1.  I agree here and with  your other post too.. 2.  How much money  do you all think The Big3GnR made. Independently. My opinion, Slash, Duff care minimum. Axls band of Dizzy, Melissa, Frank, and Richard, fine. Professional, highly skilled, good musicans playing music recorded over 30 years. 550 million plus gross Top 5 highest ranking tour ever.  Money is impt. I think they have been grateful to their audiencrs, grateful to luck and fate to have had this opportunity to do UYI tour all over and show their fam, friends. 550 million plus Top 5 highest grossing tour ever. 3. Matts book could have been so much better because  he had both roles  being a member of the bands in GnR and VR and being totally neutral about GnR pre 1990 UYIs. He had double insight in all of the staff, personalities, everything and up to now. 4.After his book, one thing is for certain never in this lifetime wll you see AFD GnR  5, and Matt, Gilby. There is no money in it. No money, no point. NITL Tour did 550 million plus with GnR Big3 plus Tour 2020 was going to  sell out all shows. I thinl  all relationships , fragile as they were already, are even privately  burned by Matt's book.

  10. I think the throwing panties, like those things ewwww, had better be new  with tags on them to now throwing bras on stage is just not funny, not cool. Just nasty. A nuisance for the entertainer too. It was The Tom Jones era in concerts where silly, hornee housewives would do this.

  11. The concert tour canceled this year can be a positive. Like things with fam, friends may have had things changed because of the pandemic, even this band. Trying to put a positive spin because someone posted a thread calling for positives. GnR Big3 have time to revamp setlist, write a new song or 2 to put out for sale on line, and more. The management should, while the Band of 3 GnR is still hot off of 3.5 year ,550 million grossing tour highest Top 5 Tour, put out a dvd live for sale. Put out snippets on you tube. The only media source to connect to their public should be The Official GnR site. Not Reddit or stuff. Put out NITL monthly photo gallery, new pix. Once a month, each of The Band 3,  communicate Q& A.  Make sure their public stays interested  to buy GnR and not take their money to The Stadium Tour (MotelyCrue n company) or any of all the other shows rolling out 2021. 2021 is going to have concerts back to back weeks, music festivals big and small, local and national ones, jam packed because of 2020 shows postponed from music concerts to plays. Add the yearly sports events too . Maybe GnR Big3 n company feel their fans will pick GnR first since NITL was in Top 5 highest grossing ever tours.

  12. This  long delay could be really good for him.Blessing in disguise kind of thing  He should really revise his book. There should be lots of  people in his inner world who read it  and should see it needs changes. It can make a difference between Peoole magazine, RS good reviews and  being on sale at book retailers  for a nice run or being in the bargain bin retailers.  The pandemic and everything  else going this year, so far, for some people can be a positive wait or positive time to change. Ex. I  know of friends move on hold so they can build  a house  and a wedding postponed.

  13. @Malcolm Malcolm  Thnx for that was informative and he should have more in his book. Sex- we know .Tell only the funny stories.  Drugs, yeah, but make it funny and and and give the reader a chance to cheer for him as he figured, drugs dont work. Okokok. If you had a dollar everytime these guys had sex, was sexed, used drugs, you would be rich. His book should have been 20% sex, 20% drugs. 60% all about the music, making the music. That about his first day rehearsal with GnR, WoW. So that is how they created their sound. OK! Tell the reader what they don't know. The inner workings of GnR, VR. Backstage private things. The band and staff as a company secrets. I would like to know from him, he should have written, The Cult job was great because it was a big, major touring band and that got him to GnR. At G, how did it feel to say, he made it. Life game changer up.

Ehhhhhhh I call bollocks there. Sorry.

Neil Young is an old geezer who bangs out material and it’s the exact same as he’s been since the get go, some brilliant, some kinda shite. But 70% brilliance, even still. And fucking amazing live to boot.

The Stones have released more albums than gnr in the last 30 years... and are better live than GNR

Motorhead were making great albums well into their career. Lemmy was making killer music into his 60s! Motörhead Live were a loud and brilliant beast...

Tom Pettys final 2 albums were great

The Who just released a pretty good album

    Old Age doesn’t = Shit.

I have no expectations when I put on a new record by a band. And it’s rare as hell if there ain’t 3-4 tunes on there I like. Great musicians make music for themselves, and if other people like that’s great. When bands write like that, it shows in the songs and the mood of an album.

I like and agree what you  laat said  here. Yes you are right about about those others and their fans,. The Stones don't make JJFlash or Satisfaction part 34. Def Leppard has put out new music, but they dont repeat the 1980s DefLep sound and themes. I will from on ask and say on new music posts, I don't think GnR fans older and newer fans, will go for   new music unlike AFD- UYIs. Topic, tempo, no. The Big 3, as mid aged men ,cannot write those type of songs again. I admire they have not tried to repeat, reheat AFD - UYIs.

Agreed, agreed so true.  Stradlin does not even do social media , he is so private. He is the Mutt Lange of GnR. I would bet money Mr. Rose never puts his life to an autobiography
