  1. I thought it was the other way around but I did wonder where his primary residence is if not Malibu I wondered that too, that's kind of weird since he's lived there for like ever
  2. I think it was earlier, going by Axl's clothes and hair my guess would be around 88 or 89
  3. He was close with his grandmother, and I think she went to a few shows. Iirc, she was the only member of Axl's family that Slash liked so by going on that I would think she went to a few shows, and we know his siblings did. But from everything I've read, his mother and stepfather always refused to attend his shows, even when he sent limos and made arrangements for them. So I doubt his stepfather and mother were there for a homely backstage visit
  4. 1. Better, I loved the lyrics and the pop feel to it. I think if it had been promoted, it would have been the one for best radio play. 2. Chinese Democracy, the wail at the beginning made me think of 90s Axl off the bat, instantly loved it. 3. Street Of Dreams, beautiful song, one of my favorite songs that is always in a playlist, love the guitar as well. 4. Madagascar, melodramatic but its Axl we're talking about, emotional lyrics but could have done without the layers upon layers. 5. Sorry, I really like the music with this one, still can't tell if it's about media or past bandmembers and can't figure out if it's a sad song or a petty one, kinda makes me like it more. 6. I.R.S. Not a lot to say, mid but I like it 7. This I love, Enjoy the lyrics and the piano, 8. Scraped. A little cringy lyrics but upbeat and angry which makes me not hate it. 9. Shackler's Revenge. Same as Scraped 10. Prostitute. I don't know what it is, I like the lyrics but can never get into it 11. There Was A Time, I just hate this one, I can't give a reason why I just can't get into it 12. If The World. Just no, I'd rather be forced to listen to a 24 hour repeat of My World and So Fine All in all, I thought it was a decent album and didn't get a fair shake when it came out From the newer, or at least new to me, releases. 1. Perhaps, loved everything about it 2. Monsters, a banger I hope gets a release soon 3. The General, heavy material and simple lyrics that give the message across well. I like it, I know it's not popular but even if someone doesn't like the song I don't think a song about child abuse should have been called the names it was in my opinion. There are plenty of country songs about abuse I don't like, but my hat goes off to anyone who can put that kind of trauma into music, and I will not tear that down even if I don't like it. 4. Hard Skool, don't hate but I like the bell. Its fast and loud, no complaints there and the lyrics make me think of Izzy who I still miss so no complaints there. 5. Is OMG the 5th? I don't know, I like it just wish it had a proper mixing and release Did I miss any? I'm sure I did
  5. It wasn't bad, Slash was my favorite part. It felt like I kept waiting for something to happen with the vocals but they sounded kind of flat and a bit boring to me, but Slash was great
  6. Wasn't Axl actually fired for like three days back in 88 or 89? I'm probably getting my dates mixed up, but it was after a no show of his. I think to come back he had to agree to a clinic or something, but it was shocking to me they thought they could get rid of their frontman at the time. Even if it was less than a week, what were they thinking? There's no way they would have been as successful without him imo
  7. It would be a good song without the lyrics, it's a shame the instrumental was used for it. And for So Fine, I can't help it but that lyric about the sweater makes me think of Spongebob holding his sweater of tears every time and I can't take it seriously Edit. Hold up, is the lyric about a sweater or sweat?? I think I've been making fun of Duff when I was the idiot who can't hear, I take back what I said lol
  8. Nothing good, imo. I am sure the rest of the guys would have turned out some average, good enough songs and with Axl I doubt he would still be here, that band seemed like it was everything to him
  9. I most certainly do the only songs I hate are OIAM, Shotgun Blues, My World and So Fine (sorry Duff). If we're counting ChiDem, ITW and Scraped get skipped
  10. I love Bad Apples! I think the worst has to be My World, that thing jarred me when I first heard it. I listened to UYI 2 from start to finish for the first time and was in my feelings from Don't Cry, and not two seconds later got the worst second hand embarrassment of my life
  11. @Gordon Comstock I'd love to hear all of those! I have so many I wish they would cover
  12. I wouldn't mind hearing their take on it, I've always wanted to hear him do a version of Zombies, Me and Bobby Mcgee, and Try Just a Little Bit Harder. I don't think new music is coming anytime soon so I'd gladly take covers at this point
  13. Axl is a little odd in that way, he's done a few people like that. I've wondered if he something like "time blindness" and time just passes and feels differently to him than it does for most people
  14. I can absolutely agree with that, I was very sympathetic to her when I was first learning about it. Not even taking Axl's personal history into consideration but the entire history of the band, they are no strangers when it comes to misogyny and violence. Unless I'm mistaken, I think Duff is the only one who hasn't had DV claims made against him and that made her story about Axl believable to me. But then the more I learned the less sure I am this happened. If he's found guilty then I'll eat crow but for now I'm just not sure. Do we know when the trial is supposed to be?
  15. I'm curious to see how it's going to go as well, I honestly don't think she has much of a case based off everything that has been discussed. For the lost opportunities for the band, if there were/are any, that could potentially set up a countersuit if I'm not mistaken about income that could have been lost due to defamation if the case does not go into her favor, if Axl was interested in opening up that can of worms which I doubt he would be if it goes in his favor
  16. I don't think so, several of these women have used the same wording and monster seems to be a popular one among them, it was probably suggested by the lawyers for an emotional response
  17. I really don't think anything being asked for here is unreasonable to keep women safe and I agree with it, I just don't like that something that should be really important and what could be a turning point is being piggybacked off what could be nonsense lawsuits that were rushed through before a deadline could end, if I'm making sense in what I'm trying to say.
  18. I hope so, this one may not be my favorite but I'm curious to see what else they have planned
  19. Agreed, I don't think its terrible by any means, I just wish the storyline would have flowed better with the lyrics. But I guess on the other hand, I really wouldn't want to see child abuse being played out so I guess they just went with what they could piece together
  20. Its for sure different, I don't hate it but its not really what I was expecting either. I don't see how the story and the lyrics go together
  21. I'm looking forward to it, I don't know why I love that alligator so much but seeing it on the reel made me happy. Has it been confirmed this is made with AI? I don't really like AI, but if it is I'll give it a fair chance even if an artist would have been better
  22. Thank you! I'm going back and forth on if she just genuinely did not want Axl to see something that would upset him in a loving way, or if the conversations were getting a little too cozy for her liking and she ended them in a controlling way. A little bit of both I guess
  23. I just got flashbacks of when home computers were still new and my mom screened every email or message I had I didn't know there was tension with Sasha before, or the Betsy story. Was she told to stop speaking to him or what happened there?
