  1. To be fair did they ever say that Perhaps and The General would be on vinyl only? If they did I missed it. But I do agree the pricing, especially on the box sets, are way too high but I seem to keep spending my money on them
  2. I maybe completely wrong on that, I kinda assumed it was the publisher since those stories were completely removed if I am remembering it right and that was just something he said to cover for it
  3. Most definitely! I enjoyed the drama he spilled about the band, the stuff about Slash and Duff specifically I was surprised to read. I thought he would tear into Axl real good but he seemed to be more understanding of his anxiety and had his back more than I thought. So I was was enjoying it for what it was, and then he starts talking about the maybe, possibly trafficked women and I was like nope no thank you. I see why the publisher wanted it edited
  4. When I was first hearing and reading about this story that is exactly what I thought. I thought she was in her very early 20's and my gut reaction was that's just a baby and I was already picturing how vulnerable and naive someone that young would be around a huge rockstar. But that can now be chalked up to a lie, with everything that is coming out about her I'd double check for myself if she told me the sky was blue lol
  5. Oh wow, that's a really good catch. I just assumed she was much younger than Axl, I had no idea she was the same age. Not that it makes a difference if what happened to her did, but why lie about your age? Unless it is to make herself look more innocent and suspectable to something like that happening
  6. I guess you haven't seen my other posts about this, I am not entirely sure this happened at all. Her story has too many inconsistencies and holes that I don't think it happened the way she said it did. I listened to what was being said, and I did it without immediately calling the accuser a liar. We can do it both ways, and yeah based on Axl's history with women who would automatically believe him? I'm a huge fan, but he has only himself to blame for that.
  7. Welcome! Not going to lie that coffee is calling my name, the packaging is nice. I'm such a sucker for this band it's sad
  8. I'm sorry your friend got shoved, he is really talented! But that 4th photo where it looks like Axl is getting spooned by that random dude is hilarious to me
  9. And I can absolutely totally see that, but it still does not account for what she claimed was said was not. I don't know, maybe I am taking this very personally as a survivor of assault myself and just need to take a step back from all this. When things don't add up I do begin to side eye what is being said, and I can't help but feel its very suspicious with the timing of her book (right when the band was big in headlines again for one of the biggest reunions in rock history) and then files it 34 years later right when that Act is about to expire, that just does not sit right with me. I am not saying she is lying at all, but I'm also not saying she is telling the complete truth either imo
  10. I'm not trying to grasp at straws, I am just trying to look at this from the point of view that a jury would. Even if something happened thirty plus years ago, if your accusing someone of something as horrible as rape you better have your facts straight. My issue with this interview is if this is even the one she is mentioning, he never mentions a PentHouse Pet or anything else she said he did. And she made it a point to say that he was gone for a sitdown interview in studio that never happened, and he was gone when she left. She said she went back to the hotel to grab a belt she left, and he was still gone and she heard the interview later. That just does not add up. I understand misremembering things, but again if you want to take something to court you have to have your factual evidence to back it up
  11. I am curious if Riki was going to say anything other than that vague Facebook post too. She is accusing him of watching and listening to a rape happen while he did nothing, I assume he would want his side of it told as well. Again, there is so much going on here I am having a hard time understanding who is telling the truth or not. A lot of people are saying that the impromptu phone interview with Stern is the interview she was talking about, but none of it matches what she said. Axl was in his hotel still asleep when that one happened, but she said she woke up alone and Axl was gone to visit Stern in studio. Does anyone have any more information about that, if she was saying that is the interview she meant? Or are people just saying that on her behalf? Because if that is what she said, it completely messes up her timeline. I'm not trying to poke holes into everything she said, I'm just trying to understand. I know Axl's lawyer was a PR answer only, I don't believe he never met her, maybe he truly does not remember what happened, but I don't believe they never hooked up or whatever
  12. Totally agree his track record with women back in the day is not good at all, if this story had come from Erin I would believe it in a heartbeat. But there is so many contradictions in Sheila's story I'm beginning to wonder if it happened at all, of course I would change my mind if she has any actual evidence, but for now I'm leaning towards Axl's side on this one. And to be fair to Axl, Adrianna was not exactly Steven's girlfriend, she was a woman they all screwed around with. She liked to bounce between Steven, Slash and Axl. And she slept with Axl to get back at Steven for sleeping with a friend of hers, it's not like she was exactly seduced into doing it or stolen from her boyfriend, and that was completely consensual.
  13. I found that odd too, not knowing the frontman for the biggest band in the world at the time. Like I personally could not name one Taylor Swift song, but I would recognize her on sight just because of how popular she is, so I do have a hard time believing that.
  14. What makes me think she was mentioning the Adderall as being used as an antipsychotic was this quote from it "which is jus a hair different from being a person on ant-psychotic meds." I may be interpreting it wrong, but to me that comes across as insinuation it was being used to treat mental illness when it was not approved for that at the time. Her accounts have also changed, here she says it was laid out on a towel with coke and other drugs, but in another one she says there were several medication bottles that were prescribed under his name as well that she left off here, she mentioned Lithium as well as he Adderall. I don't know, that just comes across as fishy to me
  15. I thought about that too, but the way she reported it I don't get that impression. I know Obetrol was abused, but it was to treat obesity and not an antipsychotic, and she specifically mentioned him having several prescriptions of antipsychotic drugs along with cocaine on his sink
  16. That's very interesting! I was curious if he was going to say anything, based on how vague it was though I can' tell if its in support of Axl or Sheila Nevermind I'm dumb lol, I'm pretty sure its to be supportive of Axl
  17. There have been soooo many, I ready it was around like 4,000 cases that were filed? And a ton of them are big name celebrities
  18. I thought it was odd she mentioned it so specifically too, like it was a gotcha. But Adderall was not FDA approved or prescribed until 96, so there is no way he would have had bottles of it prescribed to him. It's such a random thing for her to point out and it not even be able to be true at the time
  19. The more I have learned about what may have happened, the more I am on the fence about it. Axl was a scumbag back in the day, that I'm not denying. But there are several inconsistencies between the book and her documentary that even if it did happen it would not hold up in court. She mentions his bathroom sink being covered in drugs, sure I believe that. But she specifically mentions Adderall, in 1989. Adderall was not prescribed until 1996. How was he on a drug that did not exist at the time? We've already talked about the interview with Stern that also does not exist. And I can't help but notice her book came out in 2016, right when GNR and Axl was huge in the spotlight again, you know that helped with sales. I agree with another poster who said there may be a story out there that is completely true that takes the band down, but it is not this one. I'm on the fence about it now, I hope justice comes out either way for whoever deserves it here.
  20. I'm starting to see this is something that men may just view differently than a woman would. Of course I'm glad the man turned his life around, and his perspective on women changed after having children. All I am saying, is it would be nice if some men did not have to have daughters before their opinion/behaviors about women changed. I see it a lot, men suddenly care about how dangerous the world and men can be for their daughters, but hardly seem to agree with it before hand. It should not have to personally affect them for them to see women as people
  21. Here is something I did not know, it's not only Axl being accused today. Jamie Foxx, Cuba Gooding, Jimmy Iovine and Harve Pierre were all sued for sexual assault today. Would all of these cases have to do with that act about to expire?
  22. I don't want to derail this thread, of course people's perspectives can change. I can also say its annoying to live my life and have my experiences as a woman, speaking about what we go through just for the majority of men to disagree with what we say and act as if we overreact to everything, only to turn around and agree the world is a shitty place for woman after they have daughters of their own.
  23. I truly do not want to sound mean, but it is so annoying that men only want to be a champion of women's rights after they have daughters and it affects them personally. I don't think Duff was or is a bad dude by any means, he is probably the least scummy one out of the band. But why is it a man's perspective only changes so much after he has daughters? Why couldn't he just feel that way to begin with? I'm saying that for men in general
  24. Is anybody else just so mad at this band right now? We had a new song, The General got played live, they had a kick ass world tour, Axl was no longer the butt of every single joke. And now look at this mess. I am seeing this article everywhere across all major news sites and it's just brought me down as a fan. I'm mad at their ignorant manager, at Axl acting like a fool years ago that's coming back to bite him in the ass now, at Duff and his faux feminism because apparently its only cool to care about women after you've had daughters and it affects you personally. Slash gets a pass for now. But damn, why is being a GNR fan so hard?? Ugh, just mad and disappointed. I want this to be played out fairly and for the truth to come out either way it will, but it has left a bad taste in my mouth.
