SunnyDRE Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 A couple of years ago, i read an interview Rollingstone did with Chris Cornell. In that interview Cornell, said that he once went an entire year without speaking. Like he didn't talk at all. He stated that the whole year, he may have spoken 100 words Max.One the most intesting interviews I ever read, and for some reason I never forgot that part. Quote
Jumpin' Jack Flash Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 (edited) Chris Cornell is a shadow of his former self. Regardless, Soundgarden is a damn good band and Superunknown is an excellent album. I'd love to see these guys tour, but a new album would feel weird and forced in a way.... Streetchild Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 Awesome Great way to start the new year. Quote
Estranged Reality Posted January 1, 2010 Posted January 1, 2010 Incredibly exciting news. When he was promoting the last solo album he completely swore off a reunion, ever, and said he had absolutely no interest. It just goes to show that anything is possible. Quote

I'd love to see these guys tour, but a new album would feel weird and forced in a way....That's exactly why I don't want this happening, and haven't since the first rumors started. Scream flopped, so now he's running to get back with his old band, being a caricature of Chris Cornell? His voice isn't nearly what it used to be, despite it recovering from his Audioslave days, he's a poser looking for relevancy, and he does NOT fit what Soundgarden is and used to be anymore. Quote

LightningBolt Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 (edited) I would try to go see them on tour, depending on how much it costs. Edited January 2, 2010 by LightningBolt Quote
Dead Flower Posted January 2, 2010 Posted January 2, 2010 he was a poser looking for relevancy when he recorded a shit r&b parody with timbaland.singing awesome songs with the band that helped create them is gonna make a lot of people happy. especially for all the soundgarden fans who didn't get to see 'em back in the day. i saw chris open for linkin park and it was cool and all, but a true soundgarden show with Thayil, Cameron and Shepherd would be so much more legit and coolness. Or maybe even because people always say, that cornell has a "soulful" R/B voice......In fact, you can't read any Cornell/Soundgarden review without the reviewer pointing that out.c'mon.
