Astranged Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 Slash has said multiple times that estranged was the hardest and best solo he has ever done.....
scans n' copies Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 That 2nd estranged solo is my fave of all time. Nothing wrong with the other ones, though!
AngelZ Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 theyre on these lists every year because of those legendary classic tunes most likely the only music Guns will ever make to be on lists like this
SunnyDRE Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 these need to be on there.Slash has said multiple times that estranged was the hardest and best solo he has ever done.....imo, it is the best thing he and axl ever did.
mauritox Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 (edited) wow i've loved blackbird solo (and the whole song) since the first time i listened to it but i never thought it would be considered one of the best ever Edited March 31, 2011 by mauritox
Martin Riggs Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 Slash has said multiple times that estranged was the hardest and best solo he has ever done.....So? Seems like other people disagree. Although classic and very well known songs have an advantage imo. I like that Blackbird song, but kinda surpised to see that as #1. Must be a lot of musician fans of that song on that website.
The Wicked Hand Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 (edited) Slash is so melodic.... To me, that's what makes him so good. Edited March 31, 2011 by The Wicked Hand
Dead Flower Posted March 31, 2011 Posted March 31, 2011 Slash got beat by the dude he pays to shut up and sing.
Changes Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 (edited) So when is Volcano coming here to argue that Slash could not replace BBF cause he might have written these solos, but he cannot cover parts in some techno crap song that approximately 100 people in the world want to hear live? Edited April 1, 2011 by Changes
Changes Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 God, all of a sudden I'm feeling disrespectful for calling Shackler's "crap" when I know Axl is a member here. It does deserve respect of course, not just one of my favorite even from CD. It's got an OK chorus, but god I hate messy solos, the one from Shacklers barely qualify as music.
Guest siliconmessiah Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 Comfortably Numb, Pulse version Insane soloLAAmazing!
颠颠CHRIS Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 I've always thought the solo in Sweet child is much more appealing than the one in 11 rain, though the latter one is probably more catchy and melodic
wreckless Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 These lists (100000 made per day) are so stupid...
Anonymity Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 if i remember right what Slash said about the Estranged solo is that it's the most demanding in terms of being focused when playing it live. this does not necesarilly mean hardest or best.
WhazUp Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 I think Stairway should have been higher (in a perfect world the live version from How The West Was One would replace the studio version on that list)
Let And Let Live Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 I can't argue with those two songs being the best from GnR in my opinion. Both absolute classic masterpieces, and both with great videos, now if only Mr Rose would put out a video again.
Chewbacca Posted April 1, 2011 Posted April 1, 2011 These lists (100000 made per day) are so stupid...
Jumpin' Jack Flash Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 I think Stairway should have been higher (in a perfect world the live version from How The West Was One would replace the studio version on that list)Word. That HTWWW version is absolute class.
Astranged Posted April 2, 2011 Posted April 2, 2011 if i remember right what Slash said about the Estranged solo is that it's the most demanding in terms of being focused when playing it live. this does not necesarilly mean hardest or best.Axl thanked him specifically for his efforts on that song. Slash said it was the hardest to record and put together. If your going to argue a point do some research
