it's about having fans

when the band does so little in what PR should be.

as apposed to all the other bands out there,

who are doing their best in keeping the media and the fans entertain.

that's my point.

GNR are so much different than the rest of other rock bands

that they seemed out of this time,

and that is where all the fascination comes from.

especially for their potential

that is the whole world knows that GNR can do a lot more to be bigger,

and they don't. be that intentionally or not (for all we know, we don't know why).

But GNR are popular and that's what the most popular social network is telling us.

How about "1 in 10 million"? cuz that's what U r this Facebook #happyFriday-BIG THANKSto all GNR fans & the ~10,000,000 social networkers!

They may have fans, but a lot of the comments on any post on fb slate the hell outta nu-gnr, with comments like "bring back slash" everywhere.... not disagreeing that its its still a follwing...

but curios though, what do they say on Slash's Facebook? something like - "go back to GNR"?

I'm asking as I hardly look at the comments.

The 'Slash' word should be banned from the Gn'R FB fan page. It spreads like cancer... :tongue2:

No, I checked. It is very little "go back to GN'R". I'd say there is actually more comments bashing Axl than saying that. But since he updates his FB like crazy, I guess the fans telling him to go back to GN'R is spread over a huge amount of posts.

No, I checked. It is very little "go back to GN'R". I'd say there is actually more comments bashing Axl than saying that. But since he updates his FB like crazy, I guess the fans telling him to go back to GN'R is spread over a huge amount of posts.

I thought I was signing up for band news, trivia and nostalgia, but it turned out to be the official calendar for every existing holiday in the world. Seriously wouldn't be surprised if the number started dropping.

That doesn't surprise me one bit. The original GNR was always bigger than U2.

no surprise, but considering the differences in the way these two bands interact with their fans, and the media,

and especially the way you answered, I mean, that's the point man, that Guns N' Roses are liked for what they stand now and for what they stood - I don't take that away, but you can argue that on Facebook and on internet in general, people still don't know what's the current status of this band, that is a completely different one than the one that wrote SCOM or Paradise or November Rain.

anyway, be that as it may, I still found it cool,

especially considering that a few months back U2 was ahead of GNR with some millions.

Well, I cannot find anything to defend GNR and Axl from the haters on that page. Because all we have is no news (if the band splitting up for the summer doesn´t count as news, or the homepage that was updated TWO YEARS AGO, or another one-show in RIR in six months).
