Amir
I love The Replacements' cover of Black Diamond. Heard it before I heard the original by KISS, still prefer The Replacements' version.
powerwave
this can only mean one thingTommy said The Replacements reuniting was less likely than classic GNR reuniting. Wonder if Axl has been talking to Slash lately

The Black
The current band are replacements of replacements, except for Tommy who was already a replacement.

dalsh327
Pretty sad reason why they're doing it, and Chris not taking part because he's being a stubborn ass about it. I think Paul and Tommy will work together again, whether they do it as the 'Mats, we'll see. They could easily headline Coachella or Lollapalooza and any number of festival shows if they did it as the Replacements. GNR have free rein of the Hard Rock and could use one of those off days to do a show in Vegas.

izzydoezit
So this forum actually allows discussions of the Replacements in this section whereas Slash and Duff and Velvet Revolver discussions are not allowed here? As far as I know Stinson is current member of Guns N Roses... so there is a difference

As far as I know Stinson is current member of Guns N Roses... so there is a differenceThe section is called Guns N' Roses Discussion and News. This has nothing to do with GNR. At least Slash does have something to do with GNR. He even plays 5-6 GNR covers every gig.

And as is suggested in the article, perhaps this EP lit some old fires. How the F did the Replacements manage to reunite to record something and this fucking band can't do it beyond CD? That's why noone (in the "band") gives anyone a straight answer as far as new material and the future. It's all up to Axl.

How the F did the Replacements manage to reunite to record something and this fucking band can't do it beyond CD?This is a twisted reasoning. You could say the same thing about Slash. How can Slash the guy that made AFD and UYI's happen, the guy that was on drugs heavily till 2005 produce new albums every couple of ears, and Axl can't do it beyond CD? Sorry man, but this is not a very strong argument.Slash is 1/5th at least of what made GNR famous and big, and the Replacement, simply put have NOTHING to do with Guns N' Roses. Sorry man, but this is not a very strong argument. What is wrong with that question?Slash has six albums in the same time Axl has one. Duff has 3-4 albums. Adler has a couple. Didn't Izzy put out an album or two?DJ just put out an album for Pete's sake, while a member of GnR. Heck, green day is putting out three albums in the next year. All those guys are able to put out music.......why can't Axl?
