ARX77
So I went to the hrh to get a night cap before heading to bed.And who do I see ? Dizzy reed !He was playing that roulette . He looked at me and I was like yup that's him.So I get my beer and watch him and when he gets up I notice his kids are with him, so I walk by him , give him a head nod and say hi, big fan of your music and his kids start laughing at me.Ugh. Feel like a 13 year old girl right now.I met Dizzy in Greenville, SC: I happened to be in town on business on the day of their show. He was walking down the highway by the mall. I was like Holy shit that's Dizzy Reed!" So I circled around and saw him standing under a tree in the front of the mall parking lot, I said "hey Dizzy Reed?" He was a complete flake, not sure if he was really stoned or what. Anyway we talked for a moment and I told him I saw them in Orlando and asked about the show tonight in Greenville, he said he didnt know if they were playing???? All in all he was walking to find something to eat. Keep in mind the mall in Greenville is not all that close to the Bi-Lo Center. Also they have catering at all gigs so I think he was just walking around aimlessly. Not a bad guy or anything just seemed a bit off. I had my ticket from the Orlando show but after talking with him no longer had the desire for him to sign it.

2x4
I once offered Axl some cheese because I didn't know what else to say to him. Pretty embarrassing but Axl was kind enough to have a giggle and say "No thanks" hahaha.

They think their dad isnt really that good to have fans?Star struck by Dizzy Reed? is that guy really considered a star?YesOther than to NuGnR geek fans I don't think so........He was in GNR when GNR was considered the biggest band in the world. He's in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He's a star.Thank you. No one's saying Dizzy's Keith fucking Richards... He DID play on the Illusions and TSI? though, appears on Live Era and Greatest Hits, was part of the Illusion tour and all the Illusion videos, etc. He was also part of the whole Chinese insanity- which- whether you hate nu-Guns and that album or not- is still one of the more "mysterious" and debated chapters of modern RN'R history. Finally- as MSL said- dude's in the RNRHOF (as flawed as that institution may be- still counts for something IMHO). At any rate, no one's (I don't believe) equating Dizzy to Axl, Slash or Duff or whatever... but he ain't the schlepp keyboardist in your local dive many haters try to make him out to be... He's not an all-time legend- but he certainly qualifies as a "rock star" for crying out loud... Edited November 9, 2012 by AXL_N_DIZZY

He is a talented musician in Axl's band but hardly what I would call a rock star....Axl is a Rock Star and you could even argue DJ is more of a Rock Star.........never said he was a some amateur playing in a tribute band but IMHO only fans on the forums would even know who he was if they saw him and consider him a Rock Star.. axlslash
Being star struck doesn't HAVE to mean that he's some "rock star," it just means that Thomas was face to face with a musician he admires and froze up. That can even happen with non-famous musicians. Calm down, everyone.
JayGatz
I bet the kids told their mom about me Wouldn't be the first time that's happened to you then. Guest Satanisk_Slakt
How much do you think Dizzy makes being in New GNR?Didn't Rolling Stones or ClassicRock make an article about how much CD costed to produce where they said that each of Axl's employees got 10 000 dollars a month? I might remember wrong, so don't take my word for it, but I think it might have been something like that.
Apollo
Funny. When Axl refused the RnR Hall of Fame posters on here were completely trashing the Hall, saying what a joke it was and how it meant nothing, and they only wanted GnR in it to make money..................now people are using being in the Hall as justificiation of being a rock star? Interesting how some people use the same facts to mean different things depending on whether or not Axl is involved. So the HOF has special meaning and helps justify the status of a musician.....unless it is in regards to Axl, then it is a joke with no meaning.
