highvoltage Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Plugging my own video here, but it really is! So much heavier than the album version.... One of my favourite solo spots in GNR, ever.
Georgy Zhukov Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 That was awesome! I love this look too. Off topic but does anyone happen to have Fortus's new solo?

Guns n' Swedes Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Bumble put on a good show during this song, but I don't think it fits in well with the rest of the set, style-wise.I think Motivation does, however.
LuanVictor Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Really great!I hope for someday Bumble plays, Rockstar For A Day, Some Other Guy, Dash, Normal, Overloaded, Simple Days, Invisible, etc.
Desperado Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 yes it is! my favourite solo spot too along side with Fortus.

The Normal/Abnormal stuff is probably the easiest for the rest of the band to play. His early stuff would be a hell of a challenge.
wfse Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Wait, does 4tus have a new solo spot? As in brand new? Or are you just talking about the Backlight Jesus thing?

Bruno P. Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Mafalda, Real, Still Suck and Don Pardo would be damn challenge for Fank and the guys but yes, I love how Objectify sounds live, heavier.
wfse Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Mafalda, Real, Still Suck and Don Pardo would be damn challenge for Fank and the guys but yes, I love how Objectify sounds live, heavier.Lol Frank would die on those songs.
Randy Lahey Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 (edited) The only solo spot I don't mind is Richard's. The rest are piss breaks. Nobody comes to a GNR show to hear Bumble and Tommy play their original shit. Edited November 26, 2012 by Randy Lahey

Pinball Wizard Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 I think I'm the only one who dreams of seeing Ron playing Cactus on his solo.

RussTCB Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 I would ***LOVE*** for BBF to change his solo song to Invisible some day.
Crash Diet Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Bumble put on a good show during this song, but I don't think it fits in well with the rest of the set, style-wise.I think Motivation does, however.thisBetter than GTBH( not to mention the booring Pink Panther theme), but overall, this song isn't fit well on the set.A little bit too much shredding
bumblecool Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 A little bit too much shreddingLOL. is this reason for a song not to fit on a setlist? because of what? because slash can't play it?
Jakey Styley Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 This is really fucking good. I wasn't happy about it when I saw it on the setlist because of how whiny/pop-punkish it is, but GNR makes it sound badass.
Crash Diet Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 (edited) A little bit too much shreddingLOL. is this reason for a song not to fit on a setlist? because of what? because slash can't play it?i don't think it would necessary to bring up Slash in this discussion...Because this type of shredding didn't fit in the set. Didn't fit in GNR's "genre"If you like it, that's one thing. if it fits to the set: that is other thing.but i'm not gonna argue with you, because you bring up Slash as an "excuse" and probably you want some trash talk in here Edited November 26, 2012 by Crash Diet
wfse Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 Crash Diet is a well known cupcake. Just ignore him.Objectify is the best GNR solo spot ever.
Desperado Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 To say that this song doesn't fit in the set-list is like saying Better or Shackler's Revenge doesn't fit in the set-list just because it doesn't sound like "guns" or that it has too much "shredding" And if you think that this song contains too much shredding then you haven't listened to it.
Eu4ic Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 (edited) I think it's pretty good. He's a talented guy. I like his older jazzier stuff better though. But that wouldnt go over well at a Gnr show. And I disagree with dude above me, because Shackler's does fit in the setlist fine by me. Thanks to Axl's vocals, Robin and BH's guitars.
