Georgy Zhukov
All Things Must Pass is by far the best of all the Beatles solo albums. It has to be because the number of talented musicians and songs George had written. There was Eric Clapton, Ringo, Alan White, Jim Gordon, Bobby Whitlock, Ginger Baker and of course, George himself. Isn't It A Pity is a favorite. Clapton also played on Lennon's Cold Turkey. You wouldn't even know it was him.
Crazyman
John (probably haphazardly) offered Cold Turkey to the Beatles to record after the Abbey Road sessions.Shockingly, he was rebuffed

The remastered recordings sound great too.Clapton didn't just play on Cold Turkey, he was actually in the Plastic Ono Band and appears on Live Peace in Toronto 1969.He didn't do any studio time did he? That would have been great. The guitar George played for Something was the same Gibson Les Paul Clapton played for While My Guitar Gently Weeps. Clapton gave George the guitar after he played it. dalsh327
Kind of an obscure Wings song, but the biggest as far as guest appearances go. Strange but interesting cover. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yzn-ULJYaoURemind you a little bit of Blurred Lines? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fp_HIHxca5I
DieselDaisy
Any Beatles album up to, and including Pepper, should really be listened to in mono.

bacardimayne
A lot of the stereo mixes for the older albums sound awful, but I prefer the stereo for Sgt Peppers.
DieselDaisy
The Beatles personally supervised and mixed the mono Pepper themselves whereas, they just left the stereo mix to George Martin to do as, almost an after thought. The mono Pepper is, the definitive Pepper.
bacardimayne
A few songs on Pepper's do sound better in mono but overall I prefer the stereo mix. I guess it helps that Lovely Rita is my favorite song on the album and I vastly prefer the stereo mix for that.
Johnny Drama
What an odd favourite song on that album. Not a common one.
luciusfunk
Lovely Rita is one of my favorites from the album as well. Has to be more common than She's Leaving Home.
Johnny Drama
Really? Always thought of Fixing a Hole, She's Leaving Home and A Day in the Life as the big hitters.
Crazyman
Lovely Rita is also one of my favorites. If you listen to the instrumental (via the Rock Band multitracks), it's a fucking jam!
Georgy Zhukov
Really? Always thought of Fixing a Hole, She's Leaving Home and A Day in the Life as the big hitters. She's Leaving Home was a gem. Beautiful song Paul wrote. Getting Better is another favorite. Though I wonder about the lyrics "I used to get mad at my woman I used to beat her" was either written by Lennon or by Paul as reference to Lennon allegedly beating his wife Cynthia. bacardimayne
Really? Always thought of Fixing a Hole, She's Leaving Home and A Day in the Life as the big hitters.Rita, She's Leaving Home and ADITL are my favorites. Fixing and Getting Better are also top notch. There are no real stinkers on the album. You could argue When I'm 64 but I enjoy it. I also enjoy Maxwell's Silver Hammer though so maybe I just like anything the Beatles shit out at me that isn't Revolution 9. luciusfunk
I don't know how I ever considered Sgt. Pepper one of my favorite Beatles albums. I don't care for Getting Better, Fixing a Hole, or She's Leaving Home.
