Re-order the UYI Tracklisting

Listening to the UYI albums again, they are indeed a superb set of records (UYI 2, despite a few duff tracks, may well be my favourite GN'R album).

However - the track listing does seem somewhat random.

So, without leaving any songs out - reconfigure the tracklisting to how you see fit. Either reconfigure individual disks so the same songs are on parts 1 and 2, just in a different order, or vary the song order completely as a 'whole'.

Have fun.

Kind of off topic, but...

I (like most people) feel like the UYI records have too many "filler" songs. But at the same time, trying to condense them into a single 80-minute disc is still too challenging.

So if I were the one in charge of marketing UYI at the time of its release, I would've done it as a packaged double album with each disc having only 8 or 9 songs. That way the price comes out to just a little over what the first UYI actually was. So for fans it's like getting a double record for the price of a normal record and for the band it's like getting all of the important songs on there without diminishing the album's potential legacy with the confusion of two separate releases as well as filler songs.

So basically something like this:

DISC 1

1.Pretty Tied Up

2.Perfect Crime

3.Dust N' Bones

4.Don't Cry (Original)

5.Bad Obsession

6.Double Talkin' Jive

7.November Rain

8.Dead Horse

9.Coma

DISC 2

1.Civil War

2.14 Years

3.Yesterdays

4.Locomotive (Complicity)

5.The Garden

6.So Fine

7.Estranged

8.You Could Be Mine

B-SIDES (which could've been re-released as an EP later on)

Don't Damn Me (b-side to You Could Be Mine)

Don't Cry (Alternate Lyrics) (b-side to Don't Cry (Original))

Garden of Eden (b-side to November Rain)

Back Off, Bitch (b-side to Yesterdays)

You Ain't the First (b-side to Civil War)

Breakdown (b-side to Estranged)

Live & Let Die and Knocking On Heaven's Door could've been released on "The Spaghetti Incident?" instead (in place of two of the crappier covers from that record).

i think it should have been a single CD/double LP, with the double LP having extra, non-CD tracks that would be used as b-sides on CD singles.

side 1

1. right next door to hell

2. you could be mine

3. don't cry

4. perfect crime

5. dust n bones

side 2

1. yesterdays

2. civil war

3. garden of eden

4. pretty tied up

5. you ain't the first

side 3

1. 14 years

2. estranged

3. shotgun blues

4. so fine

side 4

1. double talkin' jive

2. november rain

3. coma

for the 80 minute CD, i'd have removed any combination of "so fine" "you ain't the first" & "shotgun blues."
