sturginho
In college I used to LOVE this band. Like all about them. Toxicity was amazing then. Now? When i listen to them I legit can't even fathom what I liked. Has that ever happened to anyone else? A band just doesn't hold up over time for you? I kinda feel the same way, I still like toxicity but find most of the rest unlistenable now
ZoSoRose
I like SOAD. Some of their songs are always good to listen to while others are too strange (or haven't aged well)Either way, I saw them a few years back and they were great live

When i listen to them I legit can't even fathom what I liked. Has that ever happened to anyone else? A band just doesn't hold up over time for you? Many, many bands. GNR is one, honestly. A lot of the classic rock stuff I listened to as a kid like Aerosmith, Deep Purple, The Doors, Van Halen. I'm not saying that any of them suck or whatnot, it's just that I cannot listen to their music anymore. Some I do find cheesy, that's for sure, but I would never say they suck outright. I've found that my tastes have moved away from the hard rock/classic rock/80's metal that I used to love and that it's the least listened to type of music for me
Strange Broue
was really into them in high school, Mesmerize/Hypnotise was such a great way for them to go out, those albums blew me away. Toxicity is probably my favorite thoughsame here, but nowadays i appreciate more of their earlier albumsOnly slightly better than A7X on the scale of bands every high-school kid likes. Serj is really talented, shame his shit is either trash like most SOAD songs or overly pretentious political crap like his solo albums. I still love Elect the Dead.Damon Malakian can jump off a bridge.you and BS can eat a bag of dicks, imho Edited March 11, 2015 by Motivation

ZoSoRose
Seems like they are coming back to Detroit. They were great last time I saw them, but there are so many other shows I have to see this summer. Plus, it'd be the same show.
Forsaken
So raw. I prefer Toxicity as my favorite SOAD album but love them all, can listen to em all from start to finish. Always loved Serj's lyrics and what they stood for. Plus the man has a unique voice, and it was explosive live prior to the Mesmerize/Hypnotize tours. Amir
Mezmerize/Hypnotize are two of my favourite albums, listened to them back-to-back many, many times. Friend of mine sent me Radio/Video over MSN Messenger (ah, so long ago...) and I really dug the accordion. He also sent me Violent Pornography and I got hooked. Holy Mountains, Lonely Day, Soldier Side, love all those songs.Don't really care for the self-titled debut.Toxicity and Steal This Album! are great.Saw Serj live at Shepherd's Bush back in 2012, only SOAD song he did was Aerials for the encore: Seeing SOAD live for first time on 10th April
Forsaken
Saw them live during their Mesmerize/Hypnotize tours and they were great. I just preferred Serj's voice prior to those albums. All of their albums to me are fantastic; self titled is probably my 2nd fav and was obviously my fav until Toxicity came out.
Amir
I guess I'm one of the few who really likes Daron's voice, I really liked his Scars on Broadway project/album. I also dug Serj's Elect the Dead but none of his solo stuff since then has grabbed me.
Bro-mero
System Of A Down is my third favorite band after GN'R and the Red Hot Chili PeppersVery unique metal band, and I like all 5 albums.Toxicity is probably my favorite, and their Self-Titled is a close secondThey could have gone a totally different direction after their first album
