so many great albums, love all 3 but i give the slight edge to sabbath bloody sabbath.

I'm shocked :lol: But really except the title track and elements of songs on the first side I don't get why it gets its dues as a great metal album. It's barely metal. Much more Beatlesque than Black Sabbath doom.

No, for a number of reasons however chiefly on the grounds that they're shit. Georgie Parisole might've got a bit of respect but i haven't heard that particular album. Band on the Run should've got a nod but i was feeling decidedly uncharitable that day.

I agree. No disrespect to any of the other albums mentioned in this thread, but DSOTM stands head and shoulders above the rest, and I love Houses of the Holy. Darkside imo just trumps not only the given choices, but every album mentioned in this thread. Not trying to offend anyones favorite artists or album or anything, but in 1973 it was Darkside of the Moon, and then eveerything else.
