Chris 55
The least they can do is give Axl credit for still doing shows and putting on a 3 hour show. But I guess it's more fun to put someone down.I guess you didn't read the entire review, did you? I would bet you didn't read it at all but judged for what was posted in the thread, because... he did praise Axl's vocals by saying "stronger as ever" and "top-notch condition of his voice".People like you are a disgrace to the Guns N' Roses fanbase. So are the "holier than thou" types. You know who I'm talking about
jmapelian
GN'R has to put in the boringest 3 hour show between the band jams, solo spots, and covers that I'd prefer a 2 hour set of strictly guns material.
robin2002
I completely agree with this interview, and wish it was shown to the band - Almost identical setlist to previous residency, boring solo spots and I agree with the reviewer that TIL and Catcher don't come across well live (although I do love the album version of TIL and Brian May demo of Catcher).'A decade ago, Rose was fighting against the idea of being seen as a hard rock nostalgia act, and just because that’s exactly what GNR has become doesn’t mean they can’t deliver on it.' D-GenerationX
Everyone has their own opinion. Is this reviewer a fan of GNR or Axl? I find most critics just love to hate on anyone they review. The least they can do is give Axl credit for still doing shows and putting on a 3 hour show. But I guess it's more fun to put someone down. Just as an aside, do you have a Finnish accent by chance? Because, gotta say, that's like...word for word.
star
Sounds about spot on..This has gotta hurt:Rose and his seven bandmates cut down a bit on the Chinese Democracy songs (only four, including the dreadful dirges “This I Love” and “Catcher in the Rye”), but the lengthy show (running about two hours and 40 minutes) still included momentum-killing solo spotlights for all three guitarists (Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal, Richard Fortus, DJ Ashba), bassist Tommy Stinson and keyboardist Dizzy Reed, plus various instrumental jams, to give Rose ample time to spend backstage.
