Nice to see The Grand Budapest Hotel getting a number of nominations. Also surprised to see Interstellar with only one nomination, but Zimmer definitely deserves to win it.

I didn't care for it. Definitely my least fav Wes Anderson film

IMO it's easily his best, haven't seen Darjeeling nor Bottle Rocket though.

I love making lists...

I'd rank his films:

Rushmore

The Royal Tenenbaums

Fantastic Mr Fox

Bottle Rocket

Moonrise Kingdom

The Darjeeling Limitied

The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou

The Grand Budapest Hotel

I'm only showing interest in the golden globes because trent reznor and atticus ross have been nominated for the gone girl score. I'm rooting for them to win.

Go trent! Go!

I'm also hoping house of cards will win, amazing show, amazing cast. other than that, I've not seen any of the films that have been nominated or any of the TV series except

true detective and house of cards.

Boyhood looked really interesting. The concept of the film impressed me and how it was made.

As for a prediction I do have a sinking feeling the score for gone girl will lose to either Hunger Games or Interstellar.

Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross beat Zimmer in 2011, and although I loved Inception score and Time is still one of my favorite tracks of all time, I thought it was fair to give the statute to the NIN frontman and the music engineer (for both Golden Globes and The Oscars). The Social Network score is simply amazing. This time, however, I think Zimmer is going to take it back. The score for Gone Girl, really helped a lot of scenes to get the 'right' feeling, it was well constructed for the way the movie was edited, but it does not surpass Zimmer's work with Interstellar. At least, that's in my opinion.
