The woman paid for tickets for her young 14-year old son to see a rock band - not a strip show. I've never heard of a serious rock band hiring strippers to open for them. I think it seriously cheapens the show - and the music. ... Were the strippers aimed at attracting horny prepubescent teenagers into their shows? If so, I think it backfired - judging from this mother's reaction. .. Sorry, but I just never thought it was wise bringing in strippers as an opening act.I certainly dont think it was a wise descision, but it still shouldnt effect someone who has already bought tickets, if she had any sense in reality she could have found a way around it. I didn't think it would get this much reaction. I just thought it would be cool to let everyone going to the Winnipeg show know that the buses would be running later to accomodate the show. They don't have children, they aren't old enough to understand the mother's concerns.Plus, I think a lot of the fans here love the idea of being able to see a bunch of naked girls on stage and getting to justify it as seeing their favorite band. "Hey mom, dad, can I see GN'R?" The whole naked chicks thing is a huge bonus for them, and they don't have to feel awkward about it, like they might be if they asked their parents to drive them to a strip club.Mind you, I'm not saying nudity is "evil" or "worse" than hearing these lyrics about violence and drugs and sex. However, I think anyone as young as 14 should listen to this stuff in moderation, and the mother should worry equally about what her son is listening to along with what he is seeing. She could have found out what time the strippers were finished and then dropped her son off. Hopefully this kid rebels against his bitch mom and finds a way to the show. She probably has no problem with her son playing violent video games but she just can't stomach the prospects of her son getting a boner when the SG's are on. Fact of the matter is, if the kid's raised like that, he'll probably wind up doing terrible in school, wind up hanging out with the wrong crowds... be a drunk or drug addict one way or another before he's even 18... wind up having illegitimate kids before he's even an adult... wonder why he's having to deal with his third DWI and working as a bus boy at a restaurant making just enough to pay his court fees and child support when he's 23 years old... and then turn around and blame everyone else... especially the government for not being fair... being biased and setting him back in life. When, in reality, it all started when crack whore mommy let him go to a GNR concert when he was 14 by himself. Its the idea of it that bugs her. in truth he cood have been way at the back anyway and see less nipple than Lethal Weapon 2 - which he probably seen about 50 times.You're missing the point. The woman paid for tickets for her young 14-year old son to see a rock band - not a strip show. I've never heard of a serious rock band hiring strippers to open for them. I think it seriously cheapens the show - and the music. ... Were the strippers aimed at attracting horny prepubescent teenagers into their shows? If so, I think it backfired - judging from this mother's reaction. .. Sounds like quite the parent, she really did her research before telling the kids they could go. I am willing to bet the kids see ADULT content on their own TV, cause Mom dont monitor it. If she did, the kids probably wouldnt know about GNR. If the mom really paid attention to her kid, she would have a problem with him LISTENING to GNR. She is a perfect example of what is wrong with people today.
