Chrisi Rokks
Ok so this is more about Robert Plant, but Axl's in it so move this wherever you fuckers want toRobert Plant Voted Greatest Metal Vocalist Of All TimeLed Zeppelin man honoured...Led Zeppelin’s Robert Plant has been voted the greatest metal vocalist of all time in a new poll. Conducted by Hit Parader, Plant was voted ahead of the likes of Judas Priest’s Rob Halford (number two), Aerosmith’s Steve Tyler (three) and Freddie Mercury (five). Interestingly, Kurt Cobain only came in at 20 and Mick Jagger failed to make the top ten only coming in at 15. While, prick Justin Hawkins came in at 88. Proving that the poll’s genre classification is very flawed, the likes of Rod Stewart and David Bowie also polled. The full top 100 is as follows: 1. Robert Plant2. Rob Halford3. Steven Tyler4. Chris Cornell5. Bon Scott6. Freddie Mercury7. Bruce Dickinson8. Ozzy Osbourne9. Paul Rodgers10. Ronnie James Dio11. Axl Rose12. Sammy Hagar13. Geddy Lee14. Geoff Tate15. Mick Jagger16. Turn_It_Up
The top of the list isn't so bad, but the ordering of the rest is mind-boggling. Gene Simmons over Brian Johnson, etc. I know it's subjective, but....
maximo
Fred Durst of Limp Biscuit is ahead of Dave Mustaine of Megadeth and Ian Astbury of the Cult/New Doors. That tells you ALL you need to know about this list.Im not sure that i would classify dave as a great vocalist.
AnEskimo
Mustaine and Dani Filth are just about the only 2 actual metal singers on that list.

It's good news and bad news for Cobain: The good news, Kurt, if you're listening, is that your #20 on an all-time metal list. The very bad news is that you're still 2 below Paul Stanley. rockstar81
Most of singers in the list aren't "metal". Same for Axl and GN'R, it's not "metal". It's Rock.

That tells you ALL you need to know about this list.Dave Mustaine owns! He has one of the most unique voices I've ever heard. This is a metal list and Dave sure is METAL Yeah, I'm biased... who cares? A lot of stuff doesn't add up on that list though and compared to the singers on there, Ronnie Van Zant should be there, John Fogerty too. And how the hell is Shannon Hoon not on there, I'm not a Blind Melon fan but come on.And what makes this list uselss? Axl should be number one , Kurt Cobain is above Sebastian Bach, Phil Anselmo and Layne Staley and ummm... Kurt Cobain, Fred Durst, Chester Bennington, Marilyn Manson, Scott Stapp, Amy Lee, Justin Hawkins and Aaron "Fucking" Lewis actually make the list (Lewis is the most annoying singer in history... yes, even more that Durst). And finally: There is no Mike Patton... so the list is just stupid. :xmasssanta: Edited December 8, 2006 by mustaine

Irs Better Catcher in the Twat
i would switch axl & cornell and also halford & freddy m. alos maynard and trent deserve to be higher on this list (top10) but i understand they give the guys with more of a legacy extra credit for being the innovators (i.e halford, ozzy, scott)i dont understand how mick(rolling stones) coud be considered a heavy metal vocalist< same for steven tyler, aerosmith has been a pop rock band for over a decade now. Powerage5
Bruce Dickinson at 7 and Freddie Mercury being considered "metal" tells you this poll is bollocks. Everyone knows Bruce is the definitive metal vocalist. And Paul Di'Anno should've at least made the list...
Tyler Drama
Gah, I hate Rob Halford (Okay, Run To The Hills is alright), and I'm not too fond of Paul Rodgers. Neither of them should've beaten Axl.

Lukinx
Chris Cornell is a great vocalist. Just check out all the different styles he has recorded over the years. Audioslave is by far his worst project vocally and it´s still not bad which says alot. In Soundgarden he was amazing and on the Mother Love Bone tribute Temple Of The Dog he sings so good you get the fukking shivers.
