JONEZY Posted January 9, 2007 Share Posted January 9, 2007 Van Halen, REM, the Ronettes, Patti Smith and Grandmaster Flash will be inducted into the Rock n Roll Hall of Fame March 12, 2007.Finally Van Halen gets in, but the real question is who will show up at the ceremony?Will there be fisticuffs on the stage between Ed and Mike, Ed and Sammy, Ed and Dave, Ed and everybody?Can't wait to see this. In short, he's happy about the hall of fame and plans to call Alex. He also hopes everyone involved will take the high road and put the animosities behind for one night.He thinks they'll perform, I think they have to.Here's how I see it coming out:-Sammy/Mike and their wives sit at a table.-Ed/pornstar, Alex/wife and Wolfie at a table.-Dave, 2 bimbos and the 2 midget bodyguards from the 80's at a table.-They get inducted, all 5 on stage(the speeches should be interesting).They perform 2 songs:-Jump w/ Dave-Right Here, Right Now w/SammyPersonally I'd rather they play Unchained, but just to see these guys onstage together will be worth it.2 months and counting.... Sammy didn't join til like late 85/early 86 so it hasn't even been 25 years since he joined the band. I have nothing against Sammy, i just don't understand how he belongs there. If it's just because he's part of the Van Halen history, then by that logic Gary Cherone should be there too. Maybe the Rock Hall is going to have to start naming specific members when inducting bands that have went through lineup changes.If they do the reunion with Wolfie on bass, i'm not going.
