  1. The live lp they released for record store day is a much better representation of those songs
  2. I don’t think Aerosmith has had a fruitful writing session in a room together since the Pump era. It is what it is at this point
  3. Dont think there was a limit. They should have absolutely done that though. It was gone within a hour from the 10am EST launch (the site was also live around 10 mins before the announcement) Also my order confirmation says signed in the description. Got one of each
  4. Axl seems to have issues when he’s consistently changing registers. Especially when adding power/rasp, which happens frequently in GNR’s catalog AC/DC was much more straight forward vocally and it was actually probably easier for him to be more consistent in mainly that register as long as he was prepared vocally Couple that with coming off for him a scorching 2016 reunion tour vocally, he then carried that through to those gigs
  5. Nobody cares about a new song in 2023 except for us. It’s a nostalgia band to 95% of the public. If they even heard it, it’s forgotten in a week. No matter how positive or negative a reaction. New music is not why they go to a show. New music reminds them that they are on tour. It’s a news cycle refresh Who cares about “rep”? Like and enjoy what you want. Not what other people perceive
  6. No. If it’s this bad digitally that explains why they had to delay the vinyl. Even knowing that, they went ahead with the original master for digital. If there’s ever a live vault, this level of care is not a great sign
  7. Between the clipping and the pixelated cover art, it should tell you the level of detail and care that went into this Seems like they don’t care, there’s little attention to detail and/or they’re too cheap. Maybe one day it gets fixed. However it certainly questions their ability to handle the live vault of material with this kind of track record. If that’s in their plans, it would be unfortunate if this is the level that’s acceptable
  8. They should have re-recorded all of these songs from the ground up to make them more of their own. They clearly didn’t want to put in the $ and time on that level They sound like CD leftovers because that’s the foundation. It’s Slash and Duff pasted on Brain and early 2000/late 90’s Axl’s vision of the band. It simply doesn’t represent the current band or how they’d play these songs live
  9. The mix and mastering is disappointing. Throw in the low res artwork on top of it and that tells you all you need to know It’s obvious that they don’t take these songs and releases seriously. So why should we? It is what it is. A bare bone budget to get these out and it shows. Wake me up when they work on something new
  10. It’s been said that Azoff muddied communication and his pay was being messed with. Potentially to facilitate the need for a lead guitarist with a top hat
  11. If you want to look at it in the way that his abuse as a child affected his relationships later on in life? That’s the only thing I can string together
  12. When the alternative is for Axl to do press to keep the big shows happening? Maybe he’d rather just negotiate the songs to be released to fulfill that commitment
  13. If it’s just to fulfill a contract? Sure. It’s all negotiated. The General also isn’t technically a single. It’s a B side to Perhaps. They also announced the pre-sale and its inclusion during the tour.
  14. That’s what these songs serve as. A news cycle bump. These songs were released half way and towards the end of the tour. We seem to get 2 of them per leg. It looks like these songs were part of their promotion obligation with the promoter. Nothing more, nothing less. Repurposing what’s available and Axl doesn’t have to to do press. They make more $ off of negotiating a deal with live nation to drip these out every leg than what Spotify and some physical sales would produce Maybe if they come together to write an album’s worth of songs, it will be different next time
