Murukku's well good always. Pakoda and all that too. Not a fan?

Dunno what the fuck a murruku is, pakoda, in my strange dialect its called a pakora, basically what the whiteboys can an onion bhajji innit?

Pakora in England is shite.

In all the instances I've experienced (in Northern and Southern England), it's just a kinda wee pathetic side dish. Up here it's certainly a whole course and practically a meal in its own right, with shitloads of variety. You've not lived until you've tried Haggis Pakora. From what I've heard, the Irish are similar subscribers to the Pakora cult but I don't have first-hand experience of their Pakora.
