No, it was a load of bollocks. Boring. I mean you remember stuff but like, your mind deletes the fuckin' bad stuff cuz the only reason you're looking back is cuz you're not getting something out of your today.

But really like, OK, everyone like 'ooh, The Big Breakfast!' and, y'know, OK, nice little telly show and 'oh i remember when such and such was on!' but like, i also remember that sinking feeling in my stomach that I've gotta be in school in half an hour too.

'Weren't it great, grunge and all that, yay, plaid shirts and moping about!', it's worth noting that when a fuckin' terminally miserable genre of music finds popularity in a particular time it's worth toying with the notion that a great many were not having ever such a spiffing time.

And Britpop, now i always liked Oasis but to be honest my like of em grew a lot more later on than they did back in the day, back then i just though, y'know, cool, they're pretty OK but really at the time i wanted bands to sound like Guns n Roses, horrible, snarling, be-guitared fuckin'...horrible-ness

It's easy to fuckin' get all misty-eyed about the past, you'll be doing it about this time and dogging on the fuckin' common with you're phallanx of fuckin' hoes off the Heath, when your wrinkley old man todger starts to resemble Paul Hogans neck it will please you to remember even this, young man

And these people looking back fondly on Britney Spears and the fuckin' Spice Girls want fuckin' shooting as far as I'm concerned  In the face, so their mothers can't have an open casket.

Also downloading 2 minutes of porn taking like 10 minutes

All the photos though, seen that shower pic' of Britney? - I have.

The 1990s was also the time of Cool Britannia and British ''lad'' culture, reinforced by bands like Oasis and films like Trainspotting and Human Traffic. It basically became fashionable to look like an uncultured oaf and adopt a skinhead, drinking larger from cans while munching on Kebabs - the 'chav' was just around the corner. As a counterpoint to lad culture, you had what was coming out of America at the time which basically consisted of, lots of spotty kids in baggy black jeans, listening to Nirvana and talking like Arnold.

So not a great deal different from any other era, skins, mods, punks were all pretty uncultured lager drinking oafs

They were not chavy though. And at least the mods produced one or two decent bands.

Seems you did the 90s totally wrong Len. So not boring!

If I think about the 90s, I don't think about of any of the music you mentioned. I think of Carl Cox, DJ Dimitri, Marcello, The prophet, a young Tiesto etc.

To me the 90s was all about House music (techno, hardcore, trance), awesome dance clubs and the first huge raves.

The party scene in Amsterdam ruled in the early 90s !

Also the 90s had ravey shitty music like 2unlimited, .

That was shitty indeed Edited by MB.

True, mods and even punks, the original core were not thick yobs necessarily.

Carl Cox and Tiesto and them would fit the description of shitty rave according to Dies'

The first couple of Berlin Love Parades!!!

Looks like the type of event Snakepit would appear at, a similar combination of mind numbing drugs, homosexuality and (multi) ethnicity.

Yes I know right! Lots of fun. It's a pretty good description as well;)

Pretty sure Snakepit would have loved the 90s raves and clubs indeed.
