Johnny Drama
Sugar Ray sold out big time. Try this instead.http://youtu.be/Gjb7UD7jPqMFYI Lenny, I bought the first Britney album last week. Benddderrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr Seriously though i like The Monkees, I like Hermans Hermits, i can't really talk Max Bygraves, there's another! My opinions on Herman's Hermits are in line with Mick Jagger's but The Monkees are awesome.Just don't say you like Gary Puckett and the Union Gap or something super gay like that and you're fine in my books. Good bands like Guns, The Doors revival, Nirvana, Oasis, Blur, Megadeth, Sonic Youth, Beck, Seude, the Cure, Wonder Stuff, Neds Atomic Dustbin, Carter the unstoppable Sex Machine. Good movies like Trainspotting, Res Dogs, Pulp Fiction, Natural Born Kilkers, Casino, Heat, my Own Private Idaho, Uncle Buck.Tv like Friends, Twin Peaks, Nothern Exposure, Seinfeld, Home and Away, Neighbours, Larry Sanders, The Word, Rapido.Gary Lineker. You forgot Faith No More. username
Also the 90s had ravey shitty music like 2unlimited, early prodigy and the Shamen. Music for proper wankers.I still go into instant nostalgia to shit stuff like 2unlimited, Dune, Scooter, Charly Lownoise & Mental Theo, The Party Animals (Flamman & Abraxas) etc. Hell, does Captain Jack still ring a bell with people? Nakatomi, 2 Brothers On The 4th Floor, Paul Elstak... I like those two Paul Elstak's hits. They make me happy. I know it's bad He was one of the DJ's criticized for making a hitsong btw. Which was really silly imo.He also had Promised Land and Rainbow To The Sky. I had a single of one of those 3, but I'm not sure which. In my defence it was 1996 and I was 12. YES! spunko12345
i was a Napalm Death (Cannibal Corpse, In Flames etc) fan. i think i looked quite like Dee Snider at some point. funtimes I was at Reading festival and i got talked into going to see Napalm Death. The word shit gets bandied about quite a lot these days but my god it's appropriate in their case. Unlistenable.

bran
i was a kid for the 90s turning 13 in 1999 so yeah of course it was awesome. no responsibilities, got to go to school and hang out with your friends, young enough to not notice how dark and bleak the world is.... good times.from the 90s i remember most.- wwf/wcw/ecw wrestling was the best.- music, snuck into my brothers room and listened to all his albums, some are still albums i love to this day and some i wish i never listened to in the first place(korn)- starter jackets. as a kid my mom and dad bought me a miami dolphins starter jacket, of course growing up in new england that went over like a led balloon. - hale bopp comet.i was a Napalm Death (Cannibal Corpse, In Flames etc) fan. i think i looked quite like Dee Snider at some point. funtimes I was at Reading festival and i got talked into going to see Napalm Death. Unlistenable.i pretty much agree with you now (sorry, bran ). but in the early 90s we were fresh from the iron curtain, didn't know shit about American or British music, and somehow it seems that grindcore acts were the coolest assholes in the world. being their fans was a troubleproof way to drive parents and teachers crazy. later (but still while in school) i had a weekly show about heavy metal on the radio and all local bands were my bitches i had a chance to see Napalm Death live in the middle of the 00s on Sziget in Budapest, i literally begged my friends to come with me to that heavy metal tent, but only one girl agreed to keep company. so we went there all alone, pink/blue tops and denim skirts, fully surrounded by long haired dudes in black leather, and in 10 min we had to run away from there by the skin of our teeth after some drunk dork bit me on the leg in his heavy metal ecstasy i was a Napalm Death (Cannibal Corpse, In Flames etc) fan. i think i looked quite like Dee Snider at some point. funtimes I'm in love.EDIT: I see bran got there first. yeah but he hates my Dee Snider style and you love me unconditionally

Mr. Dude
I cannot think of a single thing that is better today than it was in 1994. The 90's had better everything- music, wrestling, authors, artists, athletes, (and dare I say) even better politicians. That's not nostaliga either, believe me. DieselDaisy
Times haven't changed....YOU have. You're old. You miss your youth. There is an element of truth in that, which we all do, but I do believe you can objectively see that 'certain aspects' of a given century are weaker (or for that matter, superior) than another decade. If we eulogize the 1970s Heavyweight division for example, e.g. Ali, Foreman, Frazier, at the expense of the current 200 plus pounders, nobody is going to say ''you are just being nostalgic and miss your childhood'' as there is an obvious difference in class. And can anyone claim that Hollywood blockbusters are better now, than they were when Return of the Jedi, the Indiana Jones trilogy, Batman, etc. came out? I do not think that argument could be made in the slightest. Same thing with rock music (which, as a genre, seems to have burnt itself out at somepoint after Cobain). Conversely, I think Tennis is better than it was now, than in the 1990s - I think we are going through something of a 'golden age of tennis'.
