  1. I like your point of view. To me, is was always about money with Izzy and between Axl and the other guys too. At the reunion point, having Izzy or not will not change anything regarding ticket sales, so it is reasoable that the original 3 didn't want to give an equal percentage or something crazy to Izzy. Also I don't know if Izzy was reliable enough to tour crazy dates non stop, I imagine richard traveling incognito just in case :D. With Steven is different, it is hard for me to thinks that he was a real choice or consideration. The guy is far more unreliable than Izzy, but he would have taken the gig for free. After 7 years of the reunion, with no new material coming from new collaboration between Axl, Slash and Duff, we can say that it is and was about money and it is fine!! We like seeing them play together, they are pros, give a hell out of a show and keep their reputation high. Are they friends? Maybe not, but who cares, in the end it's only business
  2. Yes! I mixed the credits thing, but I meant he played a lot on CD. Anyway, Fortus is the guy who has been milking this cow for over 20 years and he made a career out of touring with GNR, not bad!
  3. Yes, but despite Bumble joined in the last call, then he worked on chinese stuff for the final record and got credits if my memory serves. Richard I think does not have any credits on the songs, among all the guitarists he was always for sure the #3
  4. Tommy is the man! CD is a great record, what is wrong is the mixing/layers of multiple years, performers, etc. Those songs live are 100% better than the studio version
  5. no issue at all, but he does not qualify as a "normal" human being, to my standards at least...
  6. Axl chose to work with Buckethead and DJ Ashba, so he has plenty of tolerance for subhumans
  7. I give it 3% of chance, but who cares, if it happens, happens! For sure it would be historical. And please, no Duff, no more pancreas shit or this long ass boring stories he told zillion times.
  8. I really hope having Axl on Joe's podcast. Having him for 2 or 3 hours might be the new holy grail. Joe is not so much on GNR detail, such as we hard core fans are, so I don't think this interview make Axl unconfortable. Axl also like comedy/jokes a lot, so maybe this is the way to get into him. Fingers crossed! we never know, this is GNR
  9. I think it is time for Izzy. We all know there is no new record in the pipeline, maybe a couple songs, but the new surprise can be Izzy, and let the fans happy. Don't know if Izzy is reliable enough for touring during several dates, but this can be a refreshment for the band. I understand that there will be no more attendance than now, and business wise is worse, but taking Izzy back maybe means another 10 years of future to the band
  10. Axl struggles on TWAT because is not 2006 for him anymore and also because this song has no break between lines, so it is insane to fill al the words without taking a breath. Today I watched Madrid '06 and he skips lines too. But I know he has an issue in his middle tone, filling it with a weak falsetto. I don't know, he is better than 2021 and 2022, but he seems to be at the end of the line in terms of performance, we have to enjoy him while he is still able to pull it.
  11. I think the same, just wathed a short clip and both Axl and Slash were murdering
  12. by 2023 standards this was f%$*king good!!!
  13. Totally agree! Contraband is raw rock IMO, no keyboards, synths, etc. CD is more complex and has more layers than an onion. Love Scott as a performer, different approach than Axl, but man, he was really good. Contraband is a little bit generic, not pretencious, but a good picture of 2004. VR along with Audioslave can describe how those years were. We have to consider that by that time record labels were fried, no more crazy money was available, so this took a huge toll in the business and the bands of that monent. Until they figured out that touring with 100 bucks tickets was possible and here we are now
  14. Why in 2023 people care about a review? Just watch a damn clip and have your own opinion. GNR is not in 1993 anymore, but they put a good show, usually play for 3 hours and these old guys leave everything on the stage. You can like it or not, but the band doesn't suck and are worth to headline a festival.
  15. wow! So we had Slash visiting Axl's house in 2005 and now Duff about to join the tour in 2006?
