  1. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p-JeQduJ0f8 if General and Monsters is even half as good as this song, I'll be happy
  2. I believe @saint_seiya_aka_buckethead if he’s the original @saint_seiya og folks from 2006 era will remember that username
  3. that's just a mashup of evader's version and the 2006 orchestral piece lol that can't be the actual song
  4. Wow, huge improvement on Perhaps. He’s fully rasping the chorus too. Chainsaw vocals.
  5. Anyone else hoping the “who would do this to you?” X2 lines at the end of @evader’s mix are in the released version? I love those bits lol I just realized those parts do not appear after the screaming part in the party clip, so Evader re-looped that end piece. speaking of that party, didn’t @Mindray11 say he heard another song played that was more piano based? Did it have vocals? Was it “Perhaps”?
  6. Someone let me know if I missed anything on this checklist for The General: 1) Is it the same track as the Vienna 2010 party leak? 2) Does it include the orchestral intro used live in 2006? (Possibly 2002 as well?) 3) is Marco Beltrami credited? 4) Is it the same song as the jam the band soundchecked last year in Brazil? 5) Is it about child abuse? 6) How closely if at all will the official release be to Evader’s mix? 7) Do you consider it a “monster” as Fernando suggests?
  7. Seriously, he sounds amazing when he sings in the low voice. He allows himself a lot more flexibility and is able to change up the melody too and makes it way more interesting to hear. It’s like discovering an unheard vocal take on these old songs. in Estranged, my fav bits: The way he sings “too many times to make it home. I’m out here all alone” is blowing my mind lol the sustained depth of the octave at 6:54 he brought a great energy to the final verse too. “this TIME!” He could tour for many more years (and sound WAY BETTER) if he just stuck to this strategy and rarely use any rasp. Completely kill Mickey.
  8. He’s singing every song full baritone? This became a must watch show later on YouTube
  9. lol they aren’t re-releasing OMG, nor should they. It happened already in 1999. Time to move on.
  10. There is nothing to suggest Atlas is coming in November. I would love to be wrong of course.
  11. I might be the only one to enjoy Scraped lol the drum intro Frank did live was cool too
  12. He did a great job on the chorus, seriously impressed with the rasp there. Changes the feel of it in a good way. He’s gotta commit to just the low voice for the verses though, I wanna hear “what a weight upon your shoulders” without that weak mid range voice man. Go full baritone.
  13. I’m scared that we’re now gonna hear The General soundchecked. My virgin ears wants to wait for the official rollout this time
  14. The buildup at the beginning with the drums pounding is one of my favorite moments in all of The Village sessions. Put some respect on Atlas!
  15. Unless there are some more surprises this year, it looks like we won’t be getting Atlas Shrugged in an official release. Maybe next year or the following? I don’t think the song has many fans, but I love the vocals and the melody even if gets a little repetitive and could use some steering. Would love to hear Slash and Duff, a new Axl vocal and verse and a professionally mixed finished product for this song. Don’t get me wrong, I’m excited as hell that The General is coming first but I just hope it doesn’t take another two years to get another CD leftover. Let it all out!
