Edit - it doesn't mean I've lost all my money, but does severely restrict my options. Instead of a full refund I'm stuck with non-changeable non-transferrable time-limited credit voucher.

Ooh. That sucks. I hate these fucking companies, who use every loophole to still cheat you out of your money. I had a similar problem for a concert ticket in Italy, for a cancelled concert for which I missed the deadline to ask for a voucher (I had tried to get my money back instead). A deadline which is ridiculous and arbitrary anyway, as they only would have issued a voucher and held on to my money until the end of 2021. Crooks and thieves, altogether.

I think it depends on contractual situations. I don't think they are deliberately letting people know late. There's a whole chain of contracts in place in these situations (Guns book venue, venue books contractors, contractors sub-contract... and so on) and people are just avoiding liability. If Guns preemtively cancel, before their supplier cancels, Guns could be in breach of contract and be liable, so they need to wait until the chain falls into place.

Guns doesn't book anything. The promoter books Guns and the promoter won't cancel until the government gives a definite ban on large gatherings or it is clear that those bans and travel restrictions won't be lifted. Since now it is piecemeal from week to week, the promoter will wait until it is clear that the ban on large gatherings definitely is not lifted. Even though it is clear to pretty much everyone that nothing will change in the near future. So in effect it is the government that cancels/prohibits the event and not the promoter. If the promoter cancels on his own, it could open him up to all kinds of liability. Even though, by now I think these contracts have to be worded differently than what they used to be.

I was not talking individually, but about majority.

Gilby played when the band ruled the world,  Not to mention Gilby waaaas way more charismatic than 4tus ever will be...

While I like Gilby, for sentimental reasons, I wouldn't really say he's charismatic. Really, they could have put anyone in his position. Still prefer him over Fortus though.

So it's bad for Fortus talks about GNR in interviews... A band he's been part of for 19 years... Because you think it's self promotion... But it's totally different Slash talkin' about GNR for 19 years he wasn't at GNR for self promotion...

    Yeah right...

    :lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

He's still just a hired touring hand without any creative inputnor say whatsoever. Which after 19 years makes his existance even sadder. Other then concerts he got nothing really to show for and it could be over any day. Would be, if they weren't too cheap to pay Izzy what he wanted.

let's be honest, the level of importance in GNR

    1. slash

    2. Izzy

    3. Gilby (as Iz's imminent replacement)

Everyone else, just one of the double diggits in the revolving door band.  what importance or level of remembering does a replacement of a replacement of a replacement of a replacement have!?

I'm sorry, but Gilby is not important either. He may be a sentimental favourite, but other than that he's on the same level as Fortus.

I don't think Dj or Fortus have the same level of importance than Slash... I just think it's pretty funny when someone point out that Slash did the exactly same thing that Ashba and Fortus do but "it's different" . Just because it's Slash... First it's the action... But wait, Slash did the same... Oh... It's not the action... It's who does it ...

But it's ok... If it's your prerogative, more power to you...

Alright, one was joking. Doing that joke again is lame, so we have to assume you actually mean that. In that case, there is no helping you, if you can't see the difference and thus nothing you say can be taken serious. Because you got no clue.

Does this mean they can't show episodes from The Wonder Years anymore either? I loved that show.

Not sure if you're joking, but Paul (Josh Saviano) is not Marilyn Manson

I think the fact that his label dropped him is proof that they knew what was going on and they're now pulling the plug since this shit came out. Also his ex bandmasters (I think twiggy) confirmed that all this was true.

Well, Twiggy got sacked the day after his own misdeeds got out. So I wouldn't put too much stock into what he says. Disgruntled ex-employee and all. As for the record company, fuck them even more, if they knew and only dropped him because now everybody "knows".

I wonder if that shop sold a single item I'd consider wearing? I doubt it!

Actually, they had some cool items, but I'd rather be dead than buy (and wear) something that has DJ Ashba written on it, which sadly all of the items did. And while I still think he's a bit of a douche, he actually was quite nice, when we were there. It was on the weekend they did the first reunion shows in Vegas.

Reznor has been saying for 20+ years that that story is made up and not true. Which, I guess, was one of the reasons he cut ties with him back in the day.

But then again, if you were Reznor, would you really admit that was true? The question really is, if Manson was just trying to shock, offend and live up to his image or whether he was speaking the truth and just is such a piece of shit. The irony though an ugly motherfucker like him commenting on the looks of a woman... he's no catch either. And really, even his act sucks. Had the misfortune of having to sit through one of his shows and it was one of the worst shows I've ever seen. He has no voice, no stage presence, no charisma and the music sucks. An insult that people actually dare to compare him to Alice Cooper. But I'm also horrified how quickly one man's career seems to be ruined by unproven allegations. Shame on that record company for having no balls and rather risk to drop an innocent, than to piss anyone off.

Like you said, there was no room for a player like DJ in the band with Slash. There was more hope of Bumblefoot as he at least brought a whole other style and level of technique... and there was no hope for him being in the line up (nor did he want the job, and he wasn't offered it).

Nope. There was no hope for him either. As if Slash would play with someone in his band, who potentially could upstage him (technically). And nothing that Bumblefoot brought is needed in GNR either.

The question is why does Axl care about money at this point in his life, when he was younger he seemed to not care about money and did everything by his rules, he already has more money than he will ever need, and as far as we know he does not have any kids so it is not like he wants to leave a large inheritance to them, so why is he now concerned about money?

Who's to say that was the case prior to 2016? I mean, yes, AFD and UYI sold a lot, but beyond that? If statements are to believed they made little to no money on the UYI tour. From '93 to '06 there wasn't much touring going on (and whatever tour they did created more problems), but a freeloading brazilian family to take care of. And only from '06 to '14 there was regular touring, which could be seen as making up for the 13 years before that, getting finances right. Since '16 the real band is back, making real money and the touring for them is a walk in the park really. Why would he stop being celebrated around the world, reclaiming his crown, making good money along the way doing concerts at a leisurly pace, being pampered in 5 star hotels and private planes? Especially knowing that when he stops touring the band will fall apart once more and most likely it will be over then. As that point will come anyway, as he's not getting younger and his voice is not getting better.

  12. And once more we hear about Stinson being an ass. Never liked the douche from the getgo. He's the one who shouldn't have been in the band.

    I just thought of something:

Isnt Axl a massive Thin Lizzy fan?

if that’s the case, why did Tommy think that Axl wouldn’t be into John Sykes auditioning?

Theory time: Tommy was worried about bringing someone into the band whom Axl would listen to more than him.

    Because he's a douche!

This iteration of GNR and the previous iteration toured non stop, doing multiple European and North America  tours on the same tour sometimes.

They even when ahead with a concert in Mexico when every other band had ceased touring due to covid

It's almost as if the mafia or Satan has some kind of hold over him and making him tour non stop to repay unpaid debts

Duh. It pays the bills and he doesn't have to release new music. And what else is going to do when not touring?

So Snaepit was formed as we know if '95. Not too long after the culmination of the UYI Tour. Slash was Riding high. But Snakepit never really took off. It could of easily been a huge band, but always seemed to lack something. What do you guys think is missing?

Easy, Axl. If anything, people were interested in new GNR (at least the ones still interested in that sort of thing). Not Slash and an uknown singer. I think he was great though and liked the album quite a lot.

You only need too look up mass shootings or gang killings in USA sure we don't know I agree but killings are happening all time in USA.

I would say that people who do mass shootings or gang killings either way do not care about any punishment. Some kill themselves, some think they will never get caught and some don't really give a shit. I think it's only a few people, who feel they have to kill someone, but don't do it because of the type of punishment that could be handed to them. But of course, there is no way to ever know.
