    This is bullshit I agree.

It's remarkable when you think about in comparisons. Imagine you paid someone to say, decorate your house, and they took the money then couldn't do it. Then they said you can't have your money back because at some point they might do it. But they don't know for sure, or give you a date as to when it might happen.

What's the plan if these dates can't happen next year? Another year of fans money sat waiting for a show?

It definitely is criminal. You would go to jail if you would do something like that as a private person. But politicans say that is okay and back that shit up. Mind boggling. To use citizens as banks.

While they hang on to your money they control it and can potentially make money off the collective cash they have stored up. I’d be doing everything possible to get a refund. It is criminal, I’m hoping the whole system of concert ticketing comes crashing down and more decent companies come along one day that makes it a fairer transaction for the fans. I hope companies like viagogo and stubhub burn big time, I’m very reluctant to even go to gigs in the future due to the way fans are ripped off.

    Out of likes, but exactly.

The Irish gigs that were cancelled I got my money within a few weeks, GNR hasn't cancelled and has left their fans in a tangle.... I mean, the right thing to do is to cancel the whole thing citing the corona virus! how they haven't arrived at that conclusion is beyond me! but Slash was basically saying they have no idea if they'll even be on tour next year... so what is actually a concrete plan? other than promoters and officials not wanting to return consumers money. The new dates are just as likely not to go ahead at this point. I would much prefer to have my money in my account AND when new dates are announced i'd buy a ticket... when I feel it's safe! I don't trust promoters to make the decision of the health of attendees or financial gain... we all know what comes first!

Yeah. I also got money back for my 2 irish Diana Ross shows. I don't really think they should cancel right away. They need to plan ahead for when concerts can happen again, they don't organize concerts within 2 weeks and obviously it is a tough time for concert promoters, but they should leave the option for people to ask for and get a refund without hassle. That's the least they could do to treat their customers with respect. I trust that most people will hang on to their tickets anyway.

Such a grand thank you for all the people who have been buying really expensive tickets for the last 15yrs... this is incredible, you have to wonder what the European consumer centre was doing when this was snuck through! It's a complete crock of shit. I bought a ticket for May 2020, I accept that circumstances change but they can't guarantee rescheduled dates because of the virus so my money should be returned. I don't want a ticket or voucher for an event that I might not be able to go to.

Yes. It's borderline criminal. And just imagine you have bought a ticket in a different country, for a concert you can no longer attend. Then you get a voucher (if you're lucky) for concerts of a promoter you don't have any other business with and have to wait for years, until you can claim your money back. And you can also forget about selling the ticket privately (if the concert is merely postponed), because who in their right mind will privately buy a ticket from a stranger at this point when there is no guarantee the concert will acutally happen. And after holding your money hostage for About 2 years, some countries give you a generous window of 14 days to claim your money back. FUCK THEM ALL.

I'm sure sure there will not be any shows until late 2021 that if all goes well then these 2nd spikes  which are happening

Yeah. That may be better. Either way be wary of any tickets you buy between now and then, considering how these european countries shit on consumer rights and cut their rights after the fact. Only buy, if it doesn't bother you that the money's gone for good/held up for the next couple of years either way:

Personally I loved the conclusion.  The show is really about the characters and their respective journeys. The overarching themes of the show remain strong throughout.

You might feel differently than others because you get to watch the show at your own schedule. I started watching from the first episode, as did millions of others. It took six years of watching week to week. For some they felt the payoff wasn’t worth the investment. If you can watch the show in a month, you might not feel like you’re owed the same heights of narrative storytelling that some expected having invested so much of their time and patience.

Yeah. I didn't have the patience for that, so I dropped out quickly, always planning to watch it once it's all said and done. Took me longer than expected to get around though. I usually wait until a season is done and then watch it back to back. For me that's way more rewarding, easier to stay in the show and like that I also don't have to complain about filler episodes, as I can just watch another right after.

In the Batman v Superman film it was kinda different. He had a dream he fell into a well and then a bunch of bats carried him to safety. That movie’s version of the origin didn’t necessarily imply that Batman himself was ever afraid of bats (as far as I remember, at least).

Youre right tho that most other iterations of the character portray the bat as a symbol of fear, but Batman Begins in particular does a better job of tying that whole concept into Bruce Wayne’s life (and particularly his childhood) on an emotional level, imo.

BvS is a pile of shit and not really relevant. We had 80 years of origin before that.

Bruce Wayne falling into a cave, stirring up Bats had been done in Comics before though. Don't remember exactly what origin Begins peddled, as I haven't watched that movie in ages, just can't bring myself to watch it again, but have planned since years to watch all 3 back to back. ;)

People will say the first three or four seasons are the best and that things went off the rails for seasons 5 and 6.  But I enjoyed the entire show.  It's a great ride.

Yes. That's what I heard and also that the conclusion is not really satisfying, which made me wonder if I should even bother. But right now I'm at the beginning of season 3 and I'm enjoying it. Is a bit of a trip, but entertaining.

    Yeah lol that’s exactly right.

i think my favorite version is the one from the Batman Begins movie, where he was afraid of bats as a kid due to a traumatic accident he had where he fell into a well full of bats. Then, as an adult, he modeled himself after the thing he feared the most as a means of conquering his own fears, as well learning how to inject fear into his enemies.

Batman Begins might actually be my favorite Batman film ever, as a matter of fact!

That has always been the origin. It might differ in detail, but it's always been the same. He used the symbol he feared most to strike fear into the heart of criminals.

I'm from the UK but got Hamburg tickets as I couldn't make either of the London dates.

I didn't realise any refunds had been issued. Do you know if anyone has had any money back yet for Hamburg?

It's different in each country. If it is cancelled it could be that you only get a coupon. Fucking Germany (and many other countries) issued an unlawful law, that allows concert promoters to issue coupons, instead of returning your money. It's criminal.

I'd take my chances with a vaccine unless its bleach or whatever that fat orange dickhead said you should inject... Rather have a certified vaccine that may or not work... Than catch it and be in intensive care again

Well. If I'm worried then I'm more worried about side effects, than whether it works or not. :shrugs:

So, you've already had it and went to intensive care? Do you know how/where you got it?

I just think that this kung flu as trump calls it 😂 isn't going to be gone and the world all having vaccines to safely having shows with crowds. Im definitely not going to a gig in a face mask

Yeah. I thought that too. I just returned a ticket for a concert in Italy and got a stupid coupon and now I'm contemplating whether I should buy a ticket for a show in Milan next june. But then what? Am I going to stand close to a couple 100 people at a show with a couple 1000 and hope for the best? What is different next year, if there is no vaccine? Or if there is one, should I get a barely tested new vaccine just to be able to go to concerts again?

Alice should retire some time,i think his voice is out of breath lately and his stuff is not interesting anymore for me.

Alice Cooper should never retire. His shows still kick ass.

I wish "new GN'R" put out CD2 or whatever they were going to call it before Slash and Duff returned.

At this point, it would be great if they put out a double album as others have suggested. The first being CD2 with no or minimal contributions by Slash, Duff (and Frank, would love to hear more Brain) and then maybe the other album being self-titled with a mix of CD3 (in 2006 Axl said they had about half of a 3rd album done) and totally new stuff by the current lineup.

Make it happen, Team Brazil! Call CD2 "Seven" or "7" with track 7 being the title cut. What an appropriate name for the 7th studio GN'R album.

Fuck CD2, the less heard of it, the better. Duff and Slash are back. That is all that is interesting. What they can come up with Axl.

You may not like Slash’s solo band, but they were close to headlining festivals in Australia, along with nearly selling out 10,000 seater arenas on their last few tours here. They’re not GN’R levels sure, but they’re not just some shitty bar band either

Yeah. They certainly make money. Also they play twice as much shows on a tour in the same time than GNR.

Thats a tiny crowd compared to what Guns have been playing infront of. Even the 2010/12 GNR had bigger crowds in Europe and nobody had heard of 90% of the band

And still it's not a tiny crowd. Especially for a band with a singer that "sounds like a strangled cat".   Fake Guns didn't pull much more either.

Its time to stay positive guys...

Slash says they’re working on stuff.

We know for a fact they rehearsed Hardschool, Pretty Tied Up, Think About You; plus they played You’re Crazy at their last show.

I believe things are moving forward in orden for us to get new things (new songs, at some point an album and old new songs being played live)

I think its time we assume this will be happening sooner than later.

I belive in Axls confidence with Slash by his side...and I believe in Slash making Axls material more GnRish.

    Its happening guys

If it doesn't happen now, with a forced down time, it will happen never. So yes, let's stay positive.

But the shows haven't been cancelled.  The shows have been postponed.  I think the below link better expresses my thoughts.

    https://www.billboard.com/articles/columns/rock/9338173/tool-cancel-2020-tour

I had tickets to a several concerts that were supposed to happen this summer.  I'm very appreciate of the artists that have cancelled, allowing me to receive a refund for my ticket, vice those that have merely postponed.

And? I'd rather not have to buy all my tickets again. Especially, when the concerts are seated. It's much easier to postpone and only refund those who insist on it, than to refund everything and then having to sell everything again. Usually you should be able to get a refund either way.
