I finally got around to hearing Sweet Sound of Heaven, after hearing so much hype about it.

It's alright, but doesn't do much for me.

It's not the most complicated song; basically follows the same three same chords while Mick and Gaga sing long sustain notes.  Feels like this song has been written many times over.  It's rather light on song ideas and leans heavily on vocalists to carry the song.   Seems like they want to do another Gimme Shelter, but doesn't have the same punch.

It's not a bad song, but not one that I'd be in a rush to hear again.

Same here, it's a very "standard" tune. Bit boring, actually.

As for the album, depends how you look at it, I guess. With the "they're 80 years old" thing in mind, it's pretty good.

Need to listen to the whole thing a couple more times probably.

I think that will be a given based on Slash's performances playing CD solos live, and his playing on Hard Skool and Perhaps. I do like his solos on Absurd, compared to the leaked version with Buckethead and Bumblefoot. I'll give him that. He's capable!

This is getting really, really ridiculous now. It's Slash and Guns N' Roses after all.

I totally love Buckethead these days (Crime Slunk scene, Colma, Electric Sea, Electric Tears, 3 Foot Clearance are all brilliant albums) and Robin is great as well, but come on.

Hi everyone! My name is Trevor, and I am fairly new to the forum even though I have followed along on it for a long time! :) I was hoping someone out there could help me. I am trying to get a tattoo of the red hand artwork on the back of the grenade cover. My tattoo artist and I have been trying to find a better quality picture than the one on CDChiDem where the only photos I can seem to find of the whole booklet. Does anyone have or know where I could be able to find a high quality or remastered version of this artwork?

This is gonna be my 4th GNR tattoo! I have the illusions cover on my leg, and then November rain and "lose your illusions" from the end of the estranged video on my arm in Axl's writing. I will attach a photo of those as well! :) Anyone else out there have some cool GNR tattoos? Id love to see them!

Thanks to anyone who can help!

Not exactly a GnR tattoo but it got a Les Paul and roses. ;)FB_IMG_1467152626501.thumb.jpg.a3fa4e610b692b4dfa7fd958790f6e50.jpg

Video of another song from Duff's upcoming Lighthouse album dropped today:

I can't be bothered to listen to it even once.

I gave up on Duffs solo stuff. Tenderness, that How to be a man E.P. ("Kill the internet!" Really, Duff?! XD), the last couple of songs he put out recently...it all sounds like written by a 14 year old loser, both lyrics and music. I'm done! :D

I heard somewhere he was. Normal for an artist who doesn't do art for the masses or for money. In no way, shape or form does talent play a role in his money problems. He chose his path and stuck to it - I think it's admirable and shows he's a one of a kind artist who does it for the art regardless of anything.

Bucket is a true artist through and through, gotta respect that. But I can't deal with his approach, the whole Pikes thing, I never listen to any of that.

Axl getting Bucket as the new lead player for GnR  paired with Finck was such a genius and cool, over the top approach...too bad it couldn't last.
