The drums are as integral a part as any other instrument. If there was a really clean and precise drummer on AFD, it would not have had a lot of its charm. It would have changed the whole sound of the band and made everybody play differently. Simple is not bad either. But if you can't hear it, then you can't hear it.

Ah these guys aren't thinking about topping AFD or UYI, or even CD. There's just no way to top the 80s/90s material at this point in time. The delay is not because they are worried they can't top those records. They know, no matter how good a record is, it will never be appreciated the same way that those records are.

My point is that I'd rather nothing than fakes. But I also know there's almost certainly no music coming the traditional way.

I've seen a lot of AI specialists and more recently one of the leading developers wave the warning flags for AI. I think the suggestion is that the AI is learning at rates and in ways that they never expected and they don't really understand how. The only thing these rich guys in their 80s are thinking is "how quick can we get to the finish line first so we can make the money first and be the industry leader" not thinking of the long term results of all of this. It's like they've never watched one single fucking sci-fi dystopian movie🤣

Well the issue here would be not knowing the lyrics or the vocal melody. But I can see a time when this tech is good enough to make this a reality where you write the lyric and it uses smart harmony technology to make melodies, and uses some tech to analyse Axls favourite vocal phrasing... Disgusting thought🤢 Personally I am not a fan of this AI stuff. I don't want to see bands incorporating it. I also think it's a really limited shelf life, I want to hear music created from Axl himself not some approximation of what AI builds based on the few albums of source material it can work with.

I think a lot of people buying tickets for guns are not listening to his voice all that critically. They are there enjoying the show, it's loud and he's hitting the pitches and they are singing along and think it's amazing. But they do expect that banshee voice he's famous for. He has to sing the high notes. I know a lot of people think the lower register voice is the answer... And it could be (done right), but I maintain that your average fan who just owns the greatest hits doesn't want to hear nightrain sang in a lower register. There's certain expectations that singers like Axl are expected to meet... And he painted himself into a corner years ago with high raspy vocals that became synonymous with him. Certain songs like November rain would be much better in this range these days, the more rocking stuff suffers. It's like driving in 6th gear on the motorway and then going back to 4th or 5th. Just doesn't give the same energy. First step is voice coach. 2nd approach is adjusting keys of the songs to suit current Axls comfortable ranges. Final approach is singing the songs in a lower voice
