  1. Frankly, I think these comments are sad. If people really didn't care, they wouldn't post comments in the first place, would they ? After 1993, I spent 20 years not caring about GNR. And when I don't care about something, I don't care, I don't go spamming boards saying: You are not GNR, you are fat, you can't sing, you're a joke... I keep busy with things I DO care about.

Some posters here find the comments funny ? Seriously ? Saying Axl is fat, Axl eats hamburgers, Axl is always late on stage, this isn't GNR... is not funny. It is cheap and it is lame. I've seen and heard it a million times. Saying: 'I was hoping they were breaking up' is stupid. No one forces you to watch or listen. What do you care ? Go do something else, find something you do like.

Sorry, just had to get that out of my system.

Um man us users here were quoting the insults etc that were said in the comments, we didn't original say it.

It was just an observation of dim witted idiots, some "insults" were so bad all we could do was laugh. :)

I meant the comments on the FB-page are sad, not here on the forum, of course. I love all posters here!

I 'm glad some of you had a laugh at those FB-comments, they only annoyed me. Maybe I'm just grumpy today. :shrugs:

I'll just get myself some coffee and I'll be alright. ;)

  3. Most of the general public wouldn't be excited about new material. If they made a big deal about possibly playing new songs in the announcement, it could even deter casual fans, thinking they won't be playing as many hits. I don't think it could've hurt to just mention the band plans to debut a couple new songs (If that's indeed the case), but I think it was a wise PR move to not make it a focal point of the announcement.

If you're set on going to a Vegas gig, head on over to the Roll Call thread and let us know!

    http://www.mygnrforum.com/index.php?/topic/205047-mygnr-forum-north-american-american-tour-2014-roll-call/

You're right of course. When I go to a band that I like, but am not really a huge fan of, I also want to hear the greatest hits. Or never mind that, even when I'm a huge fan, I want to hear the greatest hits.

Unfortunately, I won't be able to go to Vegas, bit far for me. I do hope they manage to come to Europe later though...

  4. "The nine-show commitment will allow concertgoers to get up-close-and-personal with Guns N’ Roses while the group performs everything from its greatest hits to a few lesser known but beloved songs."

What does that mean ? No real new songs then ?

    Silkworms and OMG?

Prob means Better, TIL, and Catcher.

Well, yes, technically all existing songs that aren't greatest hits, are lesser known but beloved songs, I guess... But I do hope the setlist will be at least a bit different. We'll see next month.

  5. I flew over an active volcano in a Cessna this morning, this evening I am going up to spend the night on said volcano with a bunch of other people, do science and party!

    Am I doing it wrong?

No, that's a great way to spend Valentine's Day!!

We're not doing anything special for Valentine's Day. Staying inside because the weather is horrible and watching tv. Can't beat flying over and partying on volcanoes ;)

  6. Axl says one thing and does another? You don't say!

Well, doesn't he have his own zoo with wolves ? What do they eat ? And unless I'm mistaken, he eats meat as well. I think people who think he's on a crusade for animal rights, are reading way too much into this. He's only joking, and having a laugh at everyone who's making such a big deal out of this. Well, that's what I think anyway, could be wrong of course...

  7. The correct answer is you shouldn't be going out with this girl. But, if you do, don't fucking mention the douchebaggery. Maybe if you guys hit it off and end up dating further you can bring it up and it'll be a funny anecdote, but not now. Seriously, McCoy, I know you don't like some of the shit I say to you, but I am trying to be helpful most of the time.

I haven't asked her out yet, although I said that i'd call her next week when I get back from Nashville.

Should I just let it go? I don't want to tell her that I'd call her and then not follow through on that either.

If you said you'd call her, you should. I agree with Magisme though. Don't tell her everything if you do go out with her. That will only make things awkward, I think.

  8. They're getting money through it, and it's probably a Universal-related deal. Some bands are more active in putting stuff up on there, but it's a good way for Team Brazil to try to brag about how many hits a GNR video got on You Tube. I don't know why Making F-ing Videos isn't on there, or why Axl doesn't use it to post clips from different shows. The Garden and Yesterdays aren't a part of it.

Do music videos still have a purpose in attracting attention to a song? Or is it better to build a social community online and bring the music to them through TV and the internet? Some aspiring director's vision of a song and a band having fun playing movie star for a few days, doesn't always help the music sell, and sometimes the video can distract from the song.

Well, Axl could make the Sweet Child O' Mine video as he originally envisioned it.

How did he envision it then ?

  9. I'm kind of shy in that regard, if I'm being honest. I just take it as being polite and not pushing the envelope. Admittedly, that's the one area of dating that I'm the absolute worst in. According to my friend, she told her the same thing that she told me: there was just no romantic feelings on her part.

Okay then. Maybe you should try to find a girl that's not so shy then, a spontaneous, outgoing girl, to compensate for your shyness. Come to think of it, I usually got so frustrated with shy men that I usually took the initiative. That sounds awful, but they always turned out to be more than willing victims

That could work, but I'm not a drinker or the partying type, so it would have to be somewhat within reason to my personality type.

 I was never drunk nor on a party when I took the initiative. And it wasn't as if I'd half rape the guy. Although I did do that once, and I ended up getting married to him, so maybe we're onto something there :D
