For most people coming from the punk scene (and so is Duff!), punk is a specific mindset which might last a life long. Its not about having green hair, listening to loud music and/or being a wasted poor fuck up who does not get his shit together.

Being/becoming rich and/or living a healthy lifestyle does not mean, someone is not a punk (anymore).

In fact, in 99% its the opposite. As Mike Ness once said:

„You can take the boy out of the punk but you cannot take the punk out of the boy.“

(Anyway, the „punk as fuck“ shirt was ridiculous. Indeed. )

1. UYI albums have no filler tracks.

2. The last time Axl looked cool was in 1994 when he shared the stage with Bruce Springsteen. 

3. Fortus is a really nice guy (I ran into him in London 2017 while he was sightseeing with his kids). 

4. The quality of Youtube videos is not the problem of Axl’s voice. Its Axl‘s voice. If he sounded like shit on YT he just sounded like shit at the corresponding show even if you are having a good time in the crowd. I can confirm this from personal experience.

Well, at the end of the day its a nobrainer for me that I always prefer an unreleased show from the golden era over a show we already got as pro shot, even if the latter would be an upgrade in quality compared to the booteg version. 

I still don’t get why some of you still ask for an official release of shows we already got in proper quality (for ages), like Ritz 88 or Saskatoon?!

Give me some awesome shows from AFD or UYI era which have never been available as sbd/pro shot bootlegs to date.

I bought this sucker for 1000€. Meanwhile it was 499€, now its 650€ in Germany. I think I will ask for a refund as well, even tough I got zero expectations to receive anything.

Do your homework! The song you have in mind was a very, very different song and - by the way - just a b-side release only some ultra fans discovered who bought one of our little singles which failed big time ... a cover song of some little singer/songwriter who used to be a Beatle and back then no one was interested in, neither our young fans nor their parents. No one had or has this single. 

The single released in 2018 is a total differrent song. Just check the intro. Ax isn’t yelling like on the you have in mind. Furthermore  its not a hidden b-side anymore but a legit A-side single release we made this cool skeleton video for. Because other than in the nineties videos are very important these days.

Most important is that our brand new 2018 A-side single release is now made available to EVERYONE. If you want a copy its easy peasy. All you have to do is to spent 1000 bucks for a boxset filled with high quality content which you get as „b-sides“, no plastic bullshit. We did no standalone release of our brand new single because all of our fans buy the box anyway. So why damage the environment and produce some plastic cd/vinyl single which would have been available for 5 bucks and no one would have had zero interest in?! Got it?!

A bit off-topic but in the context of this thread I‘d like to share this awesome stripped down cover version of Don’t Cry by Murder by Death which was released on 7“ vinyl in 2006. 

I don’t think its well known but its great. 

There are tons of those cheap GNR cover albums and unfortunately I bought nearly all of them. They are total crap, with only one exception:

Strings of Fire, which is nothing but awesome (really bad artwork though)! Enjoy!

Indeed. A few years ago MOV releases have been very hit or miss but nowadays most of them are pretty good. At least this goes for the audio. The artwork oftentimes is still very meh. 

I expect them to drop Paradise City as final encore and do a cover of Michael Jackson's Bad instead ... whilst Axl snakedancin' as hell.

Well, I don't think Slash needs an excuse. His output is fine (quantity-wise). Same goes for Duff, Izzy and Matt. Even Steven and Dizzy have released a proper amount of albums/contributions to other artists within the last 25 years.

Only one person needs an excuse, to speak in your words.
