Thanks.

Guns N Roses created a toxic culture themselves. They never give interviews or talk with fans. When they do, it’s the same stuff over and over about how there is material there.... but they never release anything! Not even a live CD or DVD of their now 3+ year tour. While Slash is capable of doing that with his solo band.
It sucks that we are a toxic fanbase. But I don’t think it would be so bad if the band ever communicated honestly.
To this day, nobody understands why nothing outside of touring ever happens.
This. I didn’t count but my feeling is that at minimum 75% of all posts within the GNR main section of this board are negative, at least have a negative touch. Lots of complaining, trolling, insulting etc is going on. In my opinion, the main reason for this is the band’s massive lack of communication and lack of releasing any material. In other words: As long as there is nothing to talk in terms of GNR, fans get frustrated and tend to „hate“.
The last time this board was mainly positive was when the reunion took place. Unfortunately, this vibe lasted only a year or so until it turned out that GNR became nothing but a pure nostalgia act. This is where we are today.
To be honest, I often ask myself why I still come back to this forum every day.

I really hope this is satire or a joke.
I hope this in terms of the whole NITL thing for at least 1,5 years. Its like not waking up from a nightmare.

Best way to describe Axl's hair cut is late 90s/00's Bon Jovi and we know what Axl thinks of him
Sorry for being off topic.

That Shadow was pretty good.
It’s very sad that we reached the point where that Shadow is judged as pretty good.
I clicked this video because of all the good comments above. Once the vocals „kicked“ in, I was like „are you kidding me“?! I hear nothing but full Mickey.

No offense but this dude has to be really happy that Axl didn’t wear a longsleeve and you can see his famous tattoo. Otherwise everybody would ask why he is posting a pic with a grumpy ugly lady 😄

Is there any evidence for that 'setlist' being a real one? It seems quite easy to fake and the tracklisting for the alternate songs comes off as way too 'wishlisty' for me to 100% believe it.
This. Only reason for me that it might be real is the Slash warmup footage where he plays the Locomotive riff.
-
Excuse me if this has already been discussed but I do wonder if it’s a coincidence that Hardschool made it the setlist after it has leaked a few weeks ago.
Do you are think someone observed this board and told the band that the leak got good feedback or something like this?
-
How could anyone put some effort in this but didn’t get the dates and even the names right? E.g. „Izzi left in 1990“?!

I would also ask why they put My World on UYI II instead of Ain't Goin Down.
If I do remember right, Axl put My World on last minute without asking any of the other members.
Edit: And Aint going down was simply forgotten as Slash (?) stated sometime in an interview, at least from the top of my head.

CD is definately NOT the result of one professional hiding in the studio...
It's the result of one professional sitting at home going through whatever dozens of musicians, producers and some mysterious guy with a Bucket on his head sitting in a custom built chicken coop watching porn came up with, after years of recording in multiple studio's.
The number of professionals who have worked on music for CD is crazy.
Art cannot be forced... it has to flow naturally. That's why one person with only a guitar can perform his own song and blow everyone away, while others have a band with 10 people on stage and still sound like a mess.
Dude, it was a joke.

AFD is the result of five wasted (and talented) amateurs hitting the studio for a few days.
CD is the result of one professional hiding in the studio for a decade.
I prefer the music made by those amateurs. 😉

Don't think so. I bet Fernandouche is STILL exhausted from that 3 hour meeting back in 2013.

Have there been any actions/reactions by TB regarding the recent leaks? I am asking because (aside from YT) there are still everywhere.

This. She acts like you and me. That is what makes her an amateur. Her current post clearly shows the difference between a professional and an amateur management (in here in terms of PR work). This whole TB thing is just so ridiculous I just don’t know if I should laugh or cry.

Did Axl have anything at all to do with the instrumentation? Pretty sure this is a Dizzy/Pitman tune ...
Well it’s an „GNR“ tune and Axl sings on it. Apart from this, I don’t expect Axl Rose to record anything he does not identify with, especially nothing under the GNR banner.

Whilst My World at least had something fresh in 91, this Silkworks version sounded already dated in 2000 because it sounds so 97 - 99ish.
It could be from some random soundtrack like Matrix, Spawn etc. had.
I know Axl was a fan of NIN. But Silkworms sounds like like a bad wannabe NIN meets Propellerheads meets Prodigy meets Chemical Brothers meets whatever song.

I loved GnR for a long time now, but I'm super late to the lithographs. I'm really enjoying this thread and seeing what all the reactions were to the various prints.
I went to the Nashville show and picked that one up but was clueless to the fact that they were doing these at every show. I've got about 10 of them now and keeping Hobby Lobby in business with framing.
This is kind of what happened to me. After the NITL tour once got started I strictly ignored all GNR related social media including this board. This because I didn’t want to know anything about the setlist etc. before my first show which was London 2017 1st night. Hence, I didn’t know anything about the lithos as well.
At the show I saw the (now) famous Jack the Ripper litho and really liked it. But nevertheless I skipped it because I didn’t want to have a „poster“ with me the whole night, especially such an expensive „poster“.
Back from my London trip I went back „online“ (in terms of GNR) and learned about the lithos. You might guess how my reaction was 😄

Some demos from the AFD and UYI eras are still there on YouTube but a lot of them are gone now, yeah. I can’t find Too Much Too Soon anywhere anymore.
Unbelievable.

I regret not having downloaded the rumbo tapes demos back when I had the chance, cause now I can’t find most of them anywhere!
Does this mean there is nothing left online? All AFD/UYI audio stuff (demos etc) gone?
Wow. I always thought we are talking about the pro shots of the classic line up and the NITL footage only. Crazy.
Excuse my question but I do not use youtube very often.
I am glad I still got my old bootleg silver discs, vinyl and the pro shot DVDs from good old analog trading via mail

It's depressing isn't it?
It actually makes me wonder why I still care at all.
And everytime I actually hear a leak or a song that's new for me, I'm not exactly blown away by the material. It's mostly just "okay".
All this talk about the "big guns" still being unreleased 10 years ago... I'm starting to think the songs on Chinese Democracy were actually his best songs. When you think about it, why wouldn't he release his best material? He had something to prove...
Even though I'm still here, for some reason I'm starting to believe this is it. Nothing groundbreaking will happen. We might get to hear Thyme or Atlas at some point, but it will be a song from a forgotten era...
Meh.
Agree.
I do get that some of you love the CD era and therefore are excited for new leaks. But why on earth all this excitement for this specific song, the General?! Is it just because you know the name of it?
Why do you expect it to be a killer song? Because of some snippet you heard? Wouldn’t it be released on CD if it’s that good?
By the way, Something similar happened in terms of Noel Gallagher/Oasis. There was this short soundcheck recording of Noel messing around with some tune which seemed to be called Stop the clocks. This was when the myth about this song as this one lost masterpiece started and lasted for years. Oasis even fueld it up by calling their first compilation Stop the clocks. Finally the song saw the light of the day as the last track of Noel‘s first solo record and you know what ... it was boring as hell. It was dropped from the setlist soon and nobody talked about it anymore. I wish you more luck with the General.
